Going to the playoffs if they lose?

I didnt understand at first because normaly we refer the skins as "we" but yeah i voted we will not make the playoffs if we lose but i really feel like we are gonna pull this upset off. We are so hungry its not funny. I dont think there is any team more in the need for a win than us right now.

I don't think this will be a playoff team this year. I think we can get to 9-7, but that probably wouldn't get us in.

I agree ,if Washington loses Sunday ,it will be to many games to come back from. But i don't think they will.

c'mon guys where's the faith? j/k.. i understand most of ur predictions. i'll be skeptical about it if they lose tonite also but until their 7th defeat comes.. i'm still going to think positively about the playoffs. even if we're 1-6.. ugh the thought!

but first let's worry about tonite and each individual game w/ the upmost attention before we think of the 'P' word.

I would like to see a win AND significant improvement on the offensive end before believing they will make the playoffs. Of course, there's always hope. Gibbs needs to ease off the reins and allow the offense to grow by calling a larger variety of plays and allowing Brunell to take chances downfield, even if this means making mistakes.

We could still make the playoffs, but it would mean only losing 2 more games. That means we'd have to win 2 games against the Packers, Vikings, and Eagles (twice), plus beating the Giants and Cowboys the next time around. It's not impossible, but would be a tough road to the playoffs, and if we did make it, we will have earned it.

Why not? That's winning 4 games against 6 semi-good to great teams. If we are a good team, good enough to make the playoffs, then this is something we should be able to do. If not, then we don't deserve to be playing in mid-January anyway.

it would be very tough to go to the postseason being 1-4. but it also depends on how we lost. the ravens are a good team, in fact they will win the prison bowl this year, but they dont blow teams away. if they offensively dominate us, this isnt the year. if we play a close game, dont have the turnover and clock management problems, its possible. if we win, i think the team could make the playoffs.

First of all, I'm very skeptical we can beat their D with our current O. However even if we do win , i dont see us getting more than 8, maybe 9 wins this season. And i really believe it will take 10 to get in.

I said we were not going to the playoffs before the season started. There was a lot of 11-5's and 10-6's getting thown around this site. I think we can be a good team but it is going to take a few years. I think 7-9 maybe 8-8 but I think we will lokk a lot better towards the end of the year then we do right now.

I love our team, but they are not showing very much and we have some really tough games ahead. Trying not to be negative, but just don't see us as a playoff team this year.

On defense, teams are starting to figure out G. williams wild schemes - meaning we will occassionally get burned on a few big passes each game. Our defense will be very good, but not shut-down.

On offense, I am just not convinced that Brunnell has the juice left to make this more than a mediocre scoring team. His lack of a real long pass threat, hurts the running game. We are only averaging 15 points a game. That won't cut it against some of the teams we have to go against. I'm convinced that if we had Warner or even Vinny T. we'd have won more games. Brunnell is not capable of getting victories for this team, IMHO.
