What a game!

For those of you who do not know what I'm talking about, my heels pulled a shocker tonight, an absolute shocker. We beat the wolfpack 30-24 tonight with a goaline stand as time ran out in the 4th quarter.

It was probably the greatest game I have ever been to. It was just a beatuful game to watch, just beautiful I tell you.

We are now 3-3 and 2-2 in the ACC, not to bad if you ask me.

Gibbskin, have you visited any woofpack MBs? If you haven't yet, expect to read a ton of, "We were robbed",....and...."the Tar holes had family cooking tonight".

Which to me makes this victory that much better! :D

They really surprised me. Like I posted in another thread, I wasn't expecting the Tar Heels to win another game this year. I'm glad they proved me wrong.

Congratulations on the win with the great goal line stand. This makes me a bit more concerned for our trip to UNC.

Also all of a sudden a road game at Gerogia Tech scares me more than a home game with Maryland.

You know what? I was more surprised that GT upset Maryland in College Park than I was the Tar Heels beating State. With UNC/State, a rival game like, anyone can win.

I didn't give the Yellow Jackets a chance in hell.

Well GT does have a good deal of talent, maybe they just finally got their **** together? Or it could be a fluke, I guess time will tell. I was surprised to say the least.

I think thats the way it is in the ACC now though, on any given Saturday anyone can win because the talent level is there, it kind of depends on which team wants it more, or are better prepared.

Yeah I know I've heard it over and over again. I was at the game and was surrounded by Pack fans and they were crying about it. It was so sweet, when they scored all of the State fans went absolutely nuts and then they called it back but State fans were like that's ok, we're at the 1 inch line and have TA Mclendon, there is no way UNC's defense can stuff him. Guess what though, they did!!! I loved it, it's the greatest football game I have ever been to and what a great atmosphere it was.

And guess what, State caught a break anyway. There was a 4th down and 6 that they converted on that drive but the play clock was at 0 when they snapped it. So they should have never got that play off, of course State fans won't bring that up now will they?

Thanks Mike, Im a fan of the pack either way lol, but ya gotta give credit where credits due. On paper we shoulda won. Being a skins fan though we both know the games arent played on paper. Heres to a win in Raleigh during BB season, hey a guy can still hope.

Gibbskin, how about Amatos mistake by accepting the penalty early on it the game? Could have been 4th and 1 but instead of declining the penalty, Amato takes the yards so its 3rd and 6. Very next play we score a TD.

Why would the ref in the back of the end zone be able to overrule the line judge who was right there?

Story of my life, you guys ever notice that all three of the teams I love exhibit similar characteristics during any given year? I mean lately except for the Braves , who generally lose early in the playoffs, my teams struggle to pull out wins and fall short of expectations........ :banghead:

I didn't look at your clip funnyperson. I've seen it numerious times. Its over and we won. But, whats not being talked about is earlier in the drive, they had a fourth and 6. The play clock ran out clearly for atleast 3 second before state got the play off. No call there. They converted the 4th and 6. Who's to say that if it was 4th and 11 that they wouldn't have converted?

Bad calls go both ways is my point.

CarMike, if it's 4th and 11 then they punt. They had already sent the punt team out there before they changed their mind, I have no doubt in my mind that they would have punted.

Here's the bottom line, it was a great game played extremely hard by both teams. What it came down to was that one play from the 1 inch line. Whoever won that play deserved to win the game, we won the game fair and square.

Well stuff like that happens in football and there is nothing you can do about it, UNC won fair and square as far as I am concerned.

They were due to go down. FSU and Louisville had them on the ropes earlier. You can't keep biting the bullet they way that they were.
