View Full Version : once again...party of compassion my democratic mascot
this is ridiculous...i can't believe that either party would stoop this low. i know it's from the party site, but the flyer in question is there to see.

Just as ridiculous as the GOP's "Democrats want to ban the bible" brochure.

It's not opening for me. I did notice that GOP Congressman Joe Hefley says he is being threatened by Tom DeLay's goons for daring to admonish the Texas Republican. Let me know if this (http://www.thehill.com/news/101304/hefley.aspx) does not open for you.

first sign of a slipping mind, bringing up one thing over and over and even steering away from the issue at hand to address something irrelevant to the discussion. and by the way you've still got nothing especially when you look at the story...i believe that hefley's quote is "leadership was not involved" and that he fails to indicate who said anything or what was said for that matter...sounds like a real good indication that nothing happened and that hefley is just a bitter man because he was passed over for a chairmanship

it came from a state reps campaign who shares office space and staff with kerry's area office...you'd recognize the picture...it's the kid running in the special olympics and he looks like he's jumping more than running with bush's face superimposed...caption says "voting for bush is like being in the special olympics...even if you win, you're still retarded"...apparently the guy distributed them all over the state house district

Not saying anyone did that recently. Just mentioning it as an example of what you might be talking about.

*Aside from Linc Chaffee, of course.

Retard jokes. I'm thinking someone on that state reps' staff is dealing with some projection issues. Just a hunch. Dope doesn't even know that the Democratic party is the only reason we have any special-ed funding in this country at all.

Of course, my point was to get under your skin because I couldn't see the link. And take a shot at Tom DeLay, of course.

that's what surprised me the most actually...let this be a lesson in branding...democrats have the corner on the market as being the compassionate group even when members of their party pull stunts like this...it's a very powerful campaign weapon.

Some weren't even allowed to serve their country 'cause all them black people took the good spots.

Be proud of it. I'd rather be a fierce partisan than one of these people who claim to be undecided because they're so thoughtful but are actually undecided because they've never bothered to pay attention to public affairs. Every four years the media and two big political campaigns have to pay homage to the most politically-illiterate portion of the voting public. It's not exactly the proudest moment in our democracy.

that's just pedantic. politics are important to all of us, but not all of us deal with political issues for a living. most undecideds aren't the pseudo-intellectual kind of the people you're talking about, but folks who work alot harder than any of us who havfe time to check hR throughout the day; they don't deserve to be belittled if they'd rather spend time with their families after work instead of catching up on foreign policy, not by john stewart or anybody. it's homage well-paid.

Sorry, I don't buy that. People have time to read a newspaper. If they prefer to watch "The Apprentice" instead then others are entitled to draw some pretty obvious conclusions from that.

The most realistic post in this thread. More people see this type of banter on the same intelligence level as a playground argument about who has a chance to marry the new English teacher.
