Sen. Tom Daschle (D-SD) may have forfeited his South Dakota residency last year when he and his wife purchased a $2 million home in an exclusive Washington, DC neighborhood. The Senate minority leader declared the mansion to be his "principal place of residence" when he applied for a property tax credit intended to help DC homeowners cope with sky-rocketing property values in the city.

Oh well, Hillary wasn't a New Yorker either, and that didn't stop her.

Like I said, bad source = ignore. I can go to the DNC site and flood this board with their partisan attacks as well, but I don't because it is a waste of the threads time.

Fine, go to your DNC site that refutes him buying the house and claiming it as his principle residence for tax purposes.

Don't be surpised if this house looks like a bungalow. DC property prices are ridiculous. Don't let the price fool you.

I won't be surprised, but then again, I won't hold my breath either. I don't think Daschle is slumming it.

Same deal with my Senator, Rick Santorum. He does not live in Pennsylvania anymore. He, his wife, and kids live in Virginia.
