Come on Art!

Looks like we only have three slots to get Art (or any other one of the Skins) in...one is taken by Marino.

I didn't know he was one of the 15 finalists last year. That was pretty good considering there were two surefire first balloters there.

None of them are getting in this year.

Sadly this is the case and I don't think I'm going to get my hopes up anytime soon.

Don't forget Steve Young, he's eligible this year.

Well shite, Steve Young is probably getting in this year, too.

edit: you fixed it :P

This is not the year for the Redskins to get someone in.

I agree with you completely LNRf, I'll be sick too. But if you saw the Dallas display in the hall you'd be laughing your posterior off...they've only got 3 or 4 players in there and the one of the worst displays of memorabilia in the whole house. Frankly they need Irvin to get in, it's pathetic.

Correction...5 players, 1 coach, and 1 owner

Why is Henry Ellard not in the Hall Of Fame?..I find that insane!

My prediction:

Michael Irvin (TV)
Jimmy Johnson (TV)
Dan Marino (TV)
Derrick Thomas
Steve Young (TV)

IMO

Doug Williams
Art Monk
Charles Haley
Dan Marino
Steve Young
too many QBs for the HOF to induct so Derrick Thomas is my honorable mention.

Yeah...I think Marino and Young are the two stone cold locks next year.

I really think Irvin and Monk are the two strongest WRs on the nomination ballot. (Pearson wasn't as dominant, IMO)

On a side note, I believe Ed and Steve Sabol should be voted in at some time for their work with NFL Films. They have been a driving force in promoting this great sport...

Gerald Riggs is on the list??? LOL what kind of joke is that? But its true Art Monk needs to be in now! Down the road Grimm and Jacobie should be in also.

One of these guys needs to get in. The knock on Art Monk is that he was not a "breakaway" threat, but a possession type receiver. Bunch of bunk. But if that is true than some of the hogs should get in because someone was scoring a whole hell of a lot of points during the 80's. It continues to boggle my mind that the Redskins went to four SBs, winning three, and had one of the most prolific offenses in the history of the game (broke NFL record for points scored in 1983), and only one player (John Riggins) is in the HOF from that era. Doesn't make any sense.

Steve Young
Dan Marino
Gary Zimmerman
Michael Irvin

Its a toss up for the rest.

Cannot believe Grimm and Jacoby have got nowhere near. They were fantastic players.

im thinking grimm has a grim chance of making it. if art monk hasnt made it before, is there any reason to believe he'll make it now? its BS that he isnt in there, but what can we do? nothing we say will change how the voters think.
