Players who've caught my eye

WASHINGTON REDSKINS -- Right now right cornerback Freddy Smoot is my front runner for all pro. He's always around the ball, and he's also shown tremendous courage, knocking down Chicago ball carriers last week with an extremely painful shoulder. Strongside linebacker Marcus Washington is thriving under a system that allows him much more responsibility than he had with the Colts. He has rounded off his game nicely and looks good in coverage.

IMO Smoot plays to be the best like Terrell Owens, Emmitt Smith, Jerry Rice, etc. Those guys play at a high level even after the checks are cashed and I think Smoot is the same kinda guy.

Wow, I'm surprised he could even praise 1 ... must be a quotta thing. I think Smooty deserves some attention, but can we get a contract done before this all goes to his head?? People are starting to notice the Skins defense now that we're ranked so high and I think more will get recognition as the weeks go by.

Any praise and notoriety is welcome! And, yes, Fred Smoot is on the way to a Pro Bowl caliber year !!!
Now can we get someone from the Offense to accompany him ?

Seen that new 'Leon' Commercial, he's miced up in the on deck circle talking to Joe Buck, says he might not be able to do his next engagement because the check hasn't cleared yet.

"Leon can't cook without the dough, Joe!"
