A RB you Va./Va. Tech fans need to look for...

I have already told rskinsfan10 about this guy. He plays HS ball right up the road from where I live. He just broke the North Carolina rushing record. T.A. McClendon [NC State] had owned it until last night.

Toney Baker....and last I heard he was considering NC State, UVA, and Va. Tech. And not in that order. I've read in two different websites that he's favoring The Cavs or Hokies right now. Each site said the other....

He has rushed for over 2,000 yards this year. The thing is, he hardly ever plays in the second half due to the team being up big and the coach doesn't want to run up the score.

I wish he'd consider UNC, but I can't blame him really. Until we show that we're turning things around we'll continue to lose these type of recruites.

I have to admit I have the utmost respect for Frank Beamer and I am glad VT is in the ACC! His program is scary good. I have a very good friend who is a Tech Alum. We went to the USC-VT game. Wow, what a tailgate party!

yep, another RB that got away fromt he state.

Chris Leak is another player that went out of state. He's from Charlotte and is the starting QB for Florida.

BTW, I just found out that Toney Baker is also considering Tennessee. Which shouldn't be a surprise to the other North Carolinians. Tennessee is always taking out top guys it seems. Our #1 ranked QB has verbaled to Tennessee. But there's rumblings that he may now be rethinking his decision now that they have two great young QBs there already.

Its hard for me to complain about recruites leaving NC for other colleges since our basketball team does this on a regular basis....
