Is Lavar going to play on Sunday. Man, he could really make the difference in the game. Favre will burn you, but like most good qbs will throw picks some too. (HINT- Ramsey). Also, who will go 1 on 1 with Javon Walker. That kid is a stud, and Favre loves him. I almost rather have Springs on him with his experience. This is a huge game for us and really will determine how the rest of the season goes. I loved watching Dallas get malled yesterday.

not sure on lavar?
i am confident the D will show up whether or not lavar plays. we need to rip the packers secondary to shreds though and build some confidence.

My guess (if it already hasn't been affirmed) is that LA will definately play this game. He'll make a big impact both physically and emotionally. Concerning Javon Walker, I don't think we'll play man-to-man against his speed.

i trust both corners, but id like to see smoot go against walker. a guy who needs to have a good game is walt harris. the packers have 3 good wideouts in driver, walker and ferguson.
i am assuming LA will be ready, as will daniels. barrow is the guy who still is a question mark to me.

I would assume Arrington plays. he could have played, if desparately needed against Chicago. Arrington will be a great re-addition. Marshall did a stand up job in place of Lavar, but lets face it, he is not the impact player Arrington is and will be.

i was wondering the same. Daniels and Lavar? Barrow doesnt concern me because of pierce. If barrow is back good. We could use Lavar back though def. A home game coming off the bye. Gettin pumped already

Arrington will play.
Yes...and don't forget he has added incentive to do well, since the passing of his cousin. His cousin charged him with "tearing up the league" and I believe the first rip occurs against the green and yellow....

The last time the Packers and Redskins met, Brett Favre was carted off the field, practically in tears, convinced that Lavar Arrington had just ended his career with one hit. Favre knows he's gonna have to watch out for that man-beast.

I did a autograph signing with LaVar yesterday.I ask LaVar the same question and he told me the medical staff has not cleared him yet.Yes he wants to play but the trainers have the final say in it. :sfight:

Ohhhhhh. I totally forgot about that. I remember the 70K at Lambeau Field were in silence for many minutes after that play.
I have a feeling this game will be very similar to the one we played versus St. Louis in 2002 when Lavar sacked Warner to force a fumble on our 6 yard line and preserve the win!

can you imagine the fun Gregg Williams can have with Lavar coming back. The Packers will definately key on him because you have to but what about Pierce, Taylor, Washington. You never know who it's going to be coming at you.

Why wouldn't we cover walker man-to-man?
Because he's faster than any of our corners. One-on-one, he'll easily beat Springs or Smoot, and Favre has the arm to throw deep enough. They've done it time and time again this year. The only way we'll get beat is on the long ball.

I agree when they key on Lavar hopefully someone else will come in un-noticed and un-touched! Did Williams face Greenbay a lot when he was with Buffalo? If so, anyone know how he did against them?

but I could be wrong. If I remember correctly..Smoot was clocked at 4.42
during the off-season while Springs was around a 4.35 or so. Walker is
fast but I'll take my chances. It's not like he's a great receiver..he's just
fast.

I think Walker is a very good receiver and hardly just a burner. He's looked good everytime I've seen him and he was awesome at FSU. I'd take him over Coles right now, if I had my choice.

I doubt Springs is a 4.3, that's real fast. Walker is fastly becoming one of the best recievers in the league. He's already matched his reception total from last year, has 6 TD's, 11 catches over 20 yards, and 5 over 40. One on one isn't going to cut it, we need to double him at least. Smoot or Springs will have to man up on the other side.

Springs should "COWER" in fear of Javon Walker.

Why wouldn't we cover walker man-to-man?
cuz he can burn us, plus it never hurts to have safety help :)

You could be correct about Springs..but he was running those times last year.
For whatever that's worth. And I expect Walker to draw alot of one-on-one
coverage..due to the blitzing scheme.

I don't know about this game, mainly because of our offense incompetence. GB's defense can be beat, but Brunnel, up to this point, hasn't cared how your defense is. He will have his 97 yd. game and not throw any interceptions. I just pray he doesn't give GB any touchdowns, as he has had a tendency to do of late. I like Portis for about 115-140 in this one. Everyone will benefit from the week off, however 2 weeks can't get Brunnel an arm. I'm very interested to see our d v. their o. Favre is awesome, when he is hot. Watch him a real qb who moves the ball effectively. I can't wait till I see this again in DC.
