According to Sportstalk.
He went to the doctor and they're awaiting the results. They don't believe it's bad.
I don't have a link yet.

Hoping its just an adjustment pain.
I still think we "shouldn't" start him, just ease him back in. Starting is not as important as being able to play at all and also, the stronger we stay on
D, until he's 100%, the better off we'll be. Remember Joe Jacoby and his recovery or Darrell Green's. When they got back the team was in the playoffs baby!

Oh that one is easy...Brunell threw a pass 10 yards behind a reciever and Arrington tried to stop and turn on the wet field to make a play and went down, injuring his knee in the process!

hope this isn't a bad setback.. but at least Gibbs doesn't think it was that bad.
and seems like Barrow's out again and Gibbs has had enough and will give him til Wed. b4 possibly deciding to shelf him for the year.
at least our D is not a concern.. although they've been over-achieving as much as our O have been under-achieving, it's quite unlikely the D will continue this torrid pace all season w/ out Lavar, Barrow, Bowen, Daniels.
that's why we need our O to start kicking into 2nd and 3rd gears when things start evening themselves out.

NFL Access on Directv said he strained it again, could set him back a week but didn't say much more. They also mentioned Brett Favre sprained his throwing hand, his practice will be limited this week. We need LA!

I heard Brunell was bombing the ball down field to Coles on a fly and instead through a Brunell lame duck which went 5 yards into the bench and hit LaVar in the knee while he was drinking some water.
Brunell apologized, and on the next play connected with Fred Smoot for a defensive TD.

Here is an interesting quote in the Times to think about....
Washington's defense hasn't missed Arrington. With Lemar Marshall filling in at weakside linebacker, the unit still ranks second in the NFL and first against the run.

Here is an interesting quote in the Times to think about....
I've thought about it .... A LOT. All these guys coming back this week. How much can they REALLY contribute??? None will be 100% and what's the point if they can only go a few plays or have to play with caution. It's a little concerning to me.

10-26-2004, 09:22 AM
As much as I desperately want LA in the mix, if he has re-injured himself, NO! As Patrick said, we have a great defense with the players on the field NOW!
Coach Williams will find a way!

From what I'm reading, Arrington is supposed to be back practicing today. Also, Barrow is waiting for clearance as to whether he can practice.

Well the 1st 5 posts I took as jokes. We get it...you don't like Brunell, but you guys managed to turn a thread that was about Arrington's knee injury into a Brunell Bashing session, so I figured you guys had access to the closed practices that none of us do........

WWWWWWWWWWWWWHHHHHHHHHHHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAATTTTTTTTTTT TT!!!!!!!!
He has played thru pain his whole career!!!!!!! Before this year, he started every game excpet like 1 or 2 his rookie year! And he had freakin knee surgey, so of course he cant play! A lot of us dont realize how good LA is, man. With a coordinator that gets the best out of everyone, im sure he would of had a breakout year

And from what I've read, LA basically couldn't use BOTH hands while playing last year because they were hurting so much. He would take down players basically with his shoulder.

Wow. Either you are just trying to start trouble or you just have no idea what you are talking about.
Arrington has been chomping at the bit to get back on the field the last few weeks. The coaching staff would not let him, a good decision considering he will be the backbone of our defense for many years to come. If he does not play this week, it will most definately not be because he "won't play through the pain."

It's a big blow to the Redskins if Arrington does not play. Ahman Green is a real threat out of the backfield and the Skins need Arrington to deal with him and put some pressure on Favre, who will have a record day if he's permitted to just stand in the pocket and throw at will.

The only thing "doubtful" regarding Arrington this week is: It's very doubtful Arrington will allow Favrah to make it past the 2nd qtr.

I heard it too and I also heard that Taylor provided the Pack with some bulletin board material. He called out several players, like Driver and then went on to say something like teams haven't been throwing on us anyway.
They also made fun of his response to voting. He said something like he wants the best man to win. Whether it's Bush or Cheney. They started making fun about the education you get at Miami.

u can, but its much easier with him as he can get him by himself..if u send marshall u would be better off to send another man wiht him to make sure someone gets to favre aka we will have to put more pressure on our secondary to lock down the receivers

If Barrow comes back and LA is still out, that sounds like the move to do. Pierce is better than Marshall any way you slice it.

My friend said that he heard Arrington on the radio, and Arrington said his knee actually feels worse now than it did before the surgery. That's not good.

10-27-2004, 11:36 PM
Washington Post has an article that says he downgraded to doubtful for Sunday =\
I had that same surgery, tore the lateral miniscus cartledge in my right knee weightlifting.
It took a solid 4 weeks with no hard work/exercise on it for me to be able to run properly, but I was able to walk out of the surgery place the day I had surgery
Its a strage thing because you feel like you can go, but its really easy to mess up again.
