Why I am a Redskins Fan

Before I start out, I will say that this is a great message board for Redskins fans. Before I even started to post, I wanted to make this thread before I do so. I will say that I have been a diehard Redskins fan since I have been watching football. I have been a Redskins fan through thick and thin. As far as loyalty goes, I refuse to give up on the Redskins no matter what. From what I see, it's nice to see that there are alot of great Redskins fans from different areas besides the DC area. Beside seeing Redskins fans from different states, it's also nice to see Redskins fans from different countries as well. I hope to be a part of this great group of Redskins fans. It looks like a family as far as I see it. Now to the topic at hand. The reasons as to why I am a Redskins fan are in no particular order. Here goes.

the indian on the helmet (I just take a liking to indian characters)

my favorite team overall out of any sport

Super Bowl Champions

great uniforms and colors

former and current players

a team in a great city

history/tradition

a team with character

a team which I love like family

being around Redskins fans who are as passionate as I am

Redskins Marching Band (playing great songs besides Hail to the Redskins)

one of the only teams with a marching band in football

our fight song

watching Redskins fans go cheering ballistically whether it be RFK, FedEx, or anywhere else

some of our coaches (some before Gibbs his first time around, Gibbs, Schottenheimer)

Redskins Cheerleaders

collecting Redskins items

wearing Redskins gear

Those are just some of the reasons as to why I am a Redskins fan. This should show that I'm no bandwagon fan at all. Now that I have posted this, I will be posting every now and then. Again, I hope to be a part of this great group of Redskins fans. Oh yeah, Hail to the Redskins.

Glad you found this place. It kind of reels you in and then before you know it you are posting so often that you are thinking just how much time do you spend on this site. There were 600 members when I joined in January, there are nearly 2000 now. Look out World, we coming for ya.
