Good game today. Imoh went off for over 200 yards. Surprised that Durant had better #s than Randall. If UNC had any kind of defense, this could have been a memorable year.
Good luck from here on out. It would be something for you guys to win the ACC your first year in... :Peace:

Carmike,
Thanks. I root for UNC whenever they aren't playing VT because i think scott is really underated. This game was big for us, because now three more wins and the ACC is ours. I honestly tihnk that UVA is our only challenge because Maryland looked like nothing today and Clemson is basically outplaying Miami right now IN miami, and you guys beat them last week so they SHOULD be a walk in the park if our boys come to play that game. I still find it funny how VT would be undefeated in the ACC if Pace would have made that last second FG against NC State, which changes alot of things...
but like all the announcers said, our fate lies in our hands, and I for one do not see an end of the year collapse for tech this season. why? i think it was during the georgia tech game that corso said that our team is playing like a real team now and not worrying about the pros and where they would go in the draft. basically, this year we have HEART, and my hometown hero Bryan Randall shall lead us to a title.
GO HOKIES!

We're getting better CarMike, if we can beat Wake and Duke in the final two weeks then we go bowling and that was the goal going into the year. It was probably an unrealistic goal but a goal nonetheless.
Today's game was tough because we had a really good shot to win it but VT made the plays when they had to. All credit goes to them but we didn't take a step back, we continue to try and build something here and get back to playing at a high level.
Defense needs to improve but we are playing a lot of young guys and we are just inconsistant on that side of the ball. There are some players coming along though, Longhaney and Richardson come to mind. Mitchell is also going to be a player for us. Next year we get Chase Page, Sparkman, and Thomas back also. Larry Edwards should also come along rather nicely. We have talent, we just have to get it some expereince. We are still giving up a lot of yards but they are starting to make some plays also, the 4th quarter today was nice. They stepped up big time and gave Durant a chance to win it but again VT made the play, give them credit.
I'm excited though, Bunting is turning our program around, let's win the next 2 and go bowling. That would be awesome!!!

Great game, it was exciting 'till the very last moment. I like the heart that this UNC team has and with a better defense they could be very good. I hope you guys are able to beat Dook and Wake Forest and make it to a bowl game.
I just hope that this young VT team doesn't let their heads get too big, and will focus on playing Maryland before worrying about Virginia.

Agreed. I am not worried about Maryland in the slightest, but it would be humiliating to lose that game and have our ACC title hopes shut down the drain if UVA beats Miami.

It's what happened last year, everyone was talking about how we would play Miami for th e National Championship berth and we were so focused on that game that we got crushed by WVU in Morgantown, games like this always worry me.
