I'm more concerned with the national team so I want him to go eventually but I think he still has some growing to do before he goes overseas.

Did you guys see in my other thread where we sat next to a guy who's son played for NE?
I felt bad for him when his kid was one of the ones that missed his overtime goal....

(Well, not that bad 'cause I was cheering my head off)

You were at the new england game also? That was the most fun ive had at a sporting event in my relatively short life. I've been to 3 skins games, and they didnt come close in any of them, but i hope to reverse the curse this sunday when i'll be there. But who would have thought that dc would be in the mls cup when i got those tickets. So im taping it, and getting es every 30 minutes, or whenevr there is a goal.

Warning to all viewers...KC plays disgusting soccer. Boring, defensive style of play. A lot like the Greek national team.

saw the DC game on FoxSportsNet against NE and it was actually a very entertaining game.. the best MLS game i've seen by far and almost.. well kinda, resembling a European Premiere League. Eskandarian, Moreno and Gomez had amazing goals and Rimando made some crucial saves. i'll definitely be watching and rooting for United this Sunday night.. at last a DC team in a Championship!

We know we know, next thing you'll be saying is, "It's not a World Championship if the whole world doesn't play in it..."

(Editors note: i'm talking about how Non-Americans tease us about baseball)

My post from the other DC United thread:

Me and my boys went.

Was sitting next to this guy and he kept cheering for NE, finally big Mike was like, "Yo...?" and the guy said, "Sorry, but #6 is my son."

Goodluck DC United...

I promised myself I would get to a game this year and failed miserably. When I was stationed overseas I would go to the football matches in England. Good Stuff (hooligans included). My girlfriend at the time was from England and a huge fan.
