This (edited by Spence) woman can (edited by Spence) my (edited by Spence).
Unreal, she used her power to set the council's agenda and tabled the stadium vote for two weeks. As much as I want to team to be in D.C. because it makes the most sense, I also knew that council would find some way to screw it up.

She's trying to hold up MLB. I doubt it will work. What bothers me is that she gave her word. You gave it, you keep it.

So am I to understand that she now has jumped back on board with the S. Cap St site, but she wants it done under her own financing idea?

Not to mention the fact that she could be a mayoral candidate.
Saving the city millions of dollars certainly would be to her benefit.(sarcasm)

I attended DCPS...Go Linda!
Fixing the schools first is infinitely more important than entertainment of folks who do not live in DC. Hell, give the team to virginia to make traffic even worse on the major roads.
DC stopped re-construction on my old high school because of a lack of funds after alumni donated millions, but we have enough to finance a stadium all of a sudden....
Yes the money would help the anocostia area, but I am never in favor of putting the entertainment of people who do not even live in DC ahead of the education of DCPS students.
