Rookie offensive tackle Jim Molinaro saw his first professional action on a play from scrimmage in Sunday's 17-10 win over Detroit. Molinaro, though, made his debut in a most unlikely place: on defense.
After starting defensive end Phillip Daniels went down with a groin injury during the game, the Redskins found themselves short a defensive lineman. Since Williams often uses five down linemen in goal-line situations, he had no choice but to summon Molinaro to play nose tackle on a fourth-quarter play at the 1-yard line.
WOW! I did nto even notice that!

Molinaro played both lines his first 2 years of college I believe. He then went over to just Offensive Line, how'd he do by the way?

its the article in the Washingtontimes. its at the bottom of the one about Gregg Williams. he played when the lions were on our 1. so that was the play that harrington threw the TD.

Another thing that went unnoticed....or I think it did...."Big Daddy" Wilkenson was on the Lions and saw a little playing time.
I read the following day that he made some stupid comments about how happy was to get out of here and there was a long list of players that felt the same he does. Said the FO is the worst in the league....:D lolol...

That is cool, maybe we got a DT in the draft instead of an OT :D

Yeah it's a tough town to play in if you're an overrated, overpaid, waste of a roster spot. What a moron.

The only thing he ever really crushed while playing was the grass under his stationary feet.

Q: Why did you use offensive lineman Jim Molinaro as a defensive tackle in the last game?
A: "Yes. We always have one of the extra offensive linemen going into a game. We coach up one or two of those guys in case we have to have them. That's just smart coaching. When someone gets hurt, we have to trot them out there."
Q: Why Molinaro?
A: "He's tough. He's smart. He's a young guy who's hungry. I want hungry guys who want to play. He wants to get on the field."

This gives even more credit to ISF's Jim Molinaro fan club. I wish I could see how he did on the play....
