What will be the outcome this year? A sweep or split series? Or even, my favorite, the tiebreaker in the ACC championship game. You know my feelings by the title of the post, what are yours? AHHHHHH I can't wait for the season to start, I am a Carolina basketball freak with friends that love dook the same way that I love Carolina. What a great rivalry... GO HEELS!!!!

Oh baby the Heels are back!!! I am trying so hard to get tickets for my wife (she got me into college bball and UNC), but they are seriously expensive this season (Puke tickets going for over $2000 on eBay).

I think we might sweep Puke, but we are definitely headed back to the final four!!! I can't wait! Plus, I was reading about the four guys we just signed and it sounds like we are ready for when we lose players after this season.

As a Maryland fan, I'm glad to see UNC among the Elite programs again. Competition will be intense this year and whoever makes it through the ACC beatdown schedule, will be ready for anything the Big Dance has to offer! I have personally enjoyed the Maryland-Duke rivalry over the last few years, but I don't think the dukies stand out as they once did. Wake and GT look real tough. I said before I can't wait to see Chris Paul and Raymond Felton go head to head. I'd pay to see that...

I agree Gibbsrules! In fact, I rarely watch non-ACC basketball and with the exception of the Dookies, I'll root for ACC teams in non conference games and tournaments!

It is goign to be VERY exciting and the tough conference does help get you ready for the big dance!!

Man, its hard to say what UNC will do against dook. I'm guessing split during the regular season....

We have signed the #6 class in the nation. dook has the #1 class for 2005. Both teams have a chance to lose a recruit to the NBA so I'll be very happy when high school seniors have to declare for the draft has past. Only then will I be happy about next years class.

im thinking a tar heel sweep this year, but wont be surprised if duke wins once. they lost more than just a player when duhon left, they lost presence and leadership, and i dont know who can fill that for them.

Yeah you never know about this game, one team can be garbage and it will still be a squeaker thats why I love it.

This has been a long time coming, through most of the 90s the Heels dominated duke but it turned after Carter and jamison left after their Jr. years and duke has dominated ever since but now payback begins. Normally I'd pick a split but the Heels play at duke the first game and I don't think they'll lose that one so I am predicting a sweep. Duke will not be a bad team this year but they won't be a typical duke team and it hurts that their prized freshman DeMarcus Nelson is hurt and will miss a few weeks of rpactice and the first few games. The Heels are better at every position and will split at worst but I think there will be a sweep by the Heels and things will finally be back to normal in Chapel Hill(along w/ the March to St. Louis).

Another interesting fact is this for dook....they only have 8 scholarship players on this years squad. Normally dook beats people by having deep depth on the bench. I think this will be their downfall this year.

Plus dook lost a lot more by have Deng leave for the NBA than losing Duhon to graduation.

Where is Duhon playing this year? Is he even in the NBA?
