WWD - Antonio Pierce vs the Iggles

Man o man! I am watching the 2001 week 10 game against the Iggles while I set up my office this morning, and Antonio Pierce just made a great INT and when McNabb tried to make the tackle he knocked that big ole QB right on his arse!!! It was awesome and I am so pumped for football this morning!

(Note - There was a holding call against David Terrel that negated the play but it still rocked.)

WWD - If for any reason the "Memory of the Week" makes a return this week, I'd love to nominate this play and game b/c it will be a similar situation (bad start to a season, but a chance to beat the Iggles and claw out of the depths)

Not sure if anyone cares, but Pierce just made another smart play. With the game at 10-3 (Skins) the Iggles got a mismatch on D when nobody covered Chad Lewis (he was lined up outside). Our safeties were pointing and seemingly confused so Pierce called a timeout seconds before McNabb hiked the pall and got it to Lewis for what would have been a TD.

Memo to Snyder - Sign Pierce to a long term deal and make him a Redskin for life!

wow pierce has been "super smart" for a while. i always thought before thisseason that he was just a scrub who gets in fights a lot in games, to tell u the truth. but he could(COULD) go to the pro bowl this year if u look at his #S

I remember that play, I was eating some pizza movers watching the game, that was the year we had ki jana carter and pierce just DECKED mcnabb it was soooo sweet, pierce is just a straight balla.....turning into one of my favorites
