Good: Gibbs finally benched Brunell, Taylor intercepted the first play, Solid play from the Wideouts, Portis got 80 yards

Bad: Pass protection, Pass coverage, turnovers

Ugly: Another bad loss, offensive ineptetude.

Friends, Romans, and Asian Hookers: I'm not sold on Ramsey, he was doing well in the no-huddle, let's see him do well in a full game. If Ramsey can't do it, then we need to find a QB in the off-season. The Defense finally gave in and had a bad game. But this is a loss we can build on: if Ramsey can show something.

As has been mentioned in another thread....I think Ramsey deserves a week or two of full games to get acclimated. Cripes...we gave Brunell 8 1/2 games...Ramsey deserves a bit of patience.

As for the D...they finished strong. Gave up too much early, but they've shown they can make adjustments and turn it around if they have too.

Ramsey wasn't great, but he wasn't put in a position to succeed either. The most important factor is: did he move the ball?

Yeah, he did.

He put us in field goal range a few times and put points on the board. Not all this was done in a no huddle situation and the Bengals did NOT sit on the lead by playing prevent.

This will likely be the the first week that Pat gets the majority of reps during the week. The team looked better with Big Pat in there and i think in a close game where Portis isn't a decoy, he can reassure the skeptics.

The Good: - Ramsey doesn't give the thumbs up when he throws incompletions.. shows fire out there and talks to his receivers on the sidelines.
- a deep passing game for once.. even if it's dangerous and almost turned into 5+ INT's.. at least now the Defenses can't stack the box to stop Portis knowing we have no passing game.
- Defense came back strong in the 2nd Half.
- S. Taylor whiffed on some but made some big hits.. 2nd INT.

The Bad: - abandoned the running game too early.
- C. Griffin injured.
- 5 sacks
- 3 INT's .. could've easily been 8+.
- the Ramsey nay-sayers will talk about his less than 50% passing (27/55) and his 5 INT's in less than 2 games compared to 6 for Brunell in 8+ games.

The Ugly: - 1st Half play by all units.. one of the worst in recent memory.
- OL was terrible... this group is way too inconsistent all season.. costly penalties and allowed way too much pressure making their D look like M. Lewis' old D in B-More.

Another good: reading all the reactions here when Ramsey was warming up and entering the game...

The Good: Brunell out of the game.

The Bad: Us getting down early, taking Portis out of the game. The defense in the first half (they brought it around in the second.)

The Ugly: Recievers (basically all of them except DMac) dropping basic passes.

dunno how serious it was.. Gibbs said they're going to do an MRI tomorrow.. let's pray it's not too bad. but he did say K. Campbell will probably need surgery so he might be done.

The Ugly: The fans absolutely sucked. People quit on the team by halftime, and after 3 quarters 1/2 the stadium was empty. Redskins fans got in fights with other redskins fans. And lets all face it: FEDEX SUCKS! Havent had any kind of home field advantage there since we moved there. I don't know what to think of the team. Unless we somehow get drew brees, than i cant see a playoff birth in the next few years.

Good: Brunell out Ramsey in, 2nd half defenive adjustments, Sean Taylor.

Bad: Gibbs showcasing how bad Brunell is against the worst rush defense in the league, gimmidy give the ball to Portis. Houshmendazenedenasnaah CJ and Palmer picked us apart. Refs making persnickety their middle name for the 9th straight week.

Ugly: Bunnells stats, WRs dropping balls again, and giving Marvin Lewis a win, your welcome Marvin, you ingrate.

Good: My boy Ramsey finally got in, and started to really get in a rhythm later on. That ain't to say he was Dan Marino out there, because he obviously wasn't. But he sure looked better than good ol' -1 yard Brunell.

Bad: The defense, where did it go? I mean, I know we clamped down eventually, but that first half was pretty pathetic.

Ugly: Suppitty said it best. We need a home field advantage again.

The defense was picked apart b/c Lewis knows most of the personnel. That and the fact that quick hits negate our blitzing. And on top of that we don't ge a pass rush unless we blitz.

??..Im with you on the Pass rush part but: Only Wynn, Pierce, Lemar Marshall and Smoot were on the Defense when Lewis was the Coordinator.

I said most, our Starting CB, MLB, WLB, and DE aren't enough?! Ok 'some.'

a few. 7 starters and all the reserves weren't here when Lewis was here. I dont think it's enough to make a difference.

Your right. It doesn't make a difference at all. We play a different defensive scheme.

that too. Lewis' scheme is much different from the 46 we're playing now under Williams.

Good: Brunell OUT, Defence after the 1st, Sean Taylor, Portis.

Bad: O-line was getting pushed around Justin Smith was pushing Samuels around. WRs, Pass Coverage.

Ugly: Offence, Brunell, Some Ramsey passes.

good: second half defense, seeing ramsey and DMAC, defense cause 3 more turnovers, portis ran well....

bad: offensive line was offensive most of the game...brunell (thank god he got benched, decision to try the onside kick at the end of the game, the way of defense was playing you kick it deep cover force a 3 and out get the ball back around the 35-40 yard line with about 1:10 or so on the clock...instead we ended starting from near our own ten yardline, without any timeouts that is as good as deep without a long interference call or something less than likely....

the ugly: pass protection (how do you leave in 1-2 extra blockers and still fail to buy your quarterback more that a sec and a half to throw the ball, clock management, giving up on the run at the start of the second half...we should have pounded the ball with portis to get a strong opening drive going, evan getting a couple of first downs would have given us the chance to shift the field position game in our favor...

Good: Portis, Seeing passes completed downfield.

Bad: Playcalling - First three plays in each half were passes against the team with 32nd ranked run D. Never did they look like they could stop Portis effectively. Checking back Clinton only had four carries of less than four yards.
Onside Kick gave away at least twenty yards field position at the end. After that first completion to Portis would have been close to midfield.

Ugly: 1 for 8 for 6 yards and 1 INT.
Damned dropped passes. Coles and Gardner have a lot to answer for. Brunell and Ramsey should be upset at them.
D getting burned early on.
Commentary on Field Pass. Was a whole two series behind in the second half. A waste of money.

Ugly: Suppitty said it best. We need a home field advantage again.

Yeah well. That starts with the fans. I followed the game on this site, and reading some fans comments early in the third quarter, you begin to wonder how many points ahead the Redskins have to be to get anywhere near the support needed to make home field advantage an issue...

Good - Ramsey and DMac saw action. Taylor's and Coles actions. Ramsey settled down finally in the last 3 1/2 minutes, showing what's to come :) Portis was ready for more (JG pulled the plug again???) Receivers miracously started holding onto the ball more often, and the whole team looked like a team in the last 5 minutes. That is very encouraging, we gonna' need it for the next game - Philly. Defense reseated itself and the last 2 1/2 Qtrs, they became nasty all over again.

Bad - First half was horrendous yet again for the whole team. The offense's 3 and out took the momentum from the defense, before they even hit the field. Strange calls by the coaching staff, including pass coverages.
The team, the coaches, and the ball boy all dropped it in the first half.

Ugly - the Bad, the refs didn't score lower than the team this time and fans leaving, no matter how tough it is to take is just out right GUTLESS!

GOOD: .......... there was absolutely nothing good about yesterday.
BAD: ............ QB play, WR play, Game Plan, Injuries.
UGLY: .......... the entire game.
