Great additions IMO, definately more than I expected them to add this soon.

Guzman is a good signing but isn't vinny getting a little long in the tooth as they say?

He's 37, but he led the NL in RBI last year and hit 35 hr.

I didn't mean he was washed up, just figured the team would go young but I guess the team will spend more now that they are in Dc

Great pickups. Guzman is a star in the making.

The only thing I know about baseball is where the beer stations are in relation to the outfield bleachers...

Can someone tell me anything about these guys?

(I'm really trying to learn now that we got a team...)

Castilla is an old 3bman, but he still can hit well and knock in a ton of runs. Guzman is a really good young Shortstop. He has some hitting ability, but was regarded as one of the best defensive players in the AL.

I was surprised they made a big splash so early, but glad to see it.

I have no idea what that says. I think with proper inflection, I would try and use it to swear at somebody.

Oh well...another poor attempt at humor. I'll go back to the boiler room.

I like Guzman. Not too sure how Castilla will perform outside of the thin air in Denver but a decent pick up nonetheless.

If I remember Guzman correctly he is a burner and was a league leader in triples very often. Correct me if I am wrong as i am not very good with AL teams

Castilla hit 20 something homeruns away from Denver.

castillas the type of player that can go to coors late in his career to boost his stats so it looks like he revitalized his career or something, nice pick up tho, dont we have tony batista? or did we let him go. Guzmans alright, why did the twinkies let him go? whos gonna replace him?

Batman wanted way too much according to what I've read...same goes for Corey Koskie who they tried to sign.

castilla and burnitz are the types of players that just go to coors to inflate their numbers and get a big contract elsewhere, what was castillas contract? I heard it was a multi year deal

Castilla hit .277 with Atlanta in 03, and hit .271 with Colorado last year.
