From the Kettering Largo Mitchellville 65AAA Team, I would like thank all of you who either came or supported us through a prayer or kind thought. We lost in a dog-fight 18-6 to Marlboro. The community support was unbelievable! Now I know and understand how High school and some college coaches feel, under the lights and the crowd was off the hook. Really into the game and supportive all the way.

It does go to show you that communities do support great causes. This game was the featured game of the day. It was packed with people at least 500 for a little league game...WOW! We have gotten all the breaks this year fumbles, interceptions, kickoff turnovers ect, everything went our way until this game. We turned the ball over 3 or 4 times (never in the season has that happened). But the football gods weren't on our side. Our kids were really sad but to see that they gave it their all and left ther hearts on the field, was trully amazing. I love them all.

Congratulations to coach Burrell and the Marlboro Mustangs on a perfect season. You've got a great bunch of kids. We'll see you next year at the same place and hopefully with a different ending. LOL.

What can I say about the skins....dunno.... :banghead:

High school is where football is real and your kids should hold thier heads high as should you sometimes winners don't always win the game. Congrats on a great season

Its a shame that you lost, but it seems as though you team had a good run. Tell your boys they should be proud. They did a hell of a job...

Congrats to your kids for even making it to the finals!!!
I'll bet there are a lot of other teams who would have loved to trade places with them.
In life there are winners and losers and this.... wasn't their week.
Sometimes there is more to learn when you come up short, than if you win.
Good job Joe!

Thanks coach! I was wondering where I could find the follow up post and it is good to know they gave their best AND scored :).
Can't ask for more.
