Good idea on the forum guys. I still rather them be called the senators. Imagine if they make it to the world series:

"Representing the National League, the err.. Nationals!"

They are staying in the national league right? :rolleyes:

That would have been more ironic had they been moved to the American League!

Just happy to finally have our own team after long absence of 34 years.....Prefer to leave "Senators" from our past in the American League....start 'fresh' w/"Nats" in the National League. Welcome to all Nats' fans around the world!! Go Nats!!.......from a longtime fan since '48 of the "Senators"..
