Hey fellow Washingtonians and Skins fans. Great article this week about former Redskins backup QB Babe Laufenberg in one of my favorite reads, the Washington CityPaper. I especially enjoyed this quote: "Second-string running backs, receivers and linemen are irrelevant around here. But Skins fans have always had a love affair with their backup QB's." Babe actually had two stints in Washington. First time around he was #3, behind Theismann and Holly. Then he went to San Diego. When he came back, he actually got into a game due to injuries, I think. He was wearing number 16 in his second tour. First tour he was number 12. Holly wore number 8.

Even more obscure, Holly went to Atlanta after playing in DC.

i had no idea babe played qb for the skins..... he's a "sports commentator" on cbs 11 in dallas. he even has a show with troy aikman!!!
