I guess this was to be expected,. Tony Bautista was not offered arbitration by the Nats, losing the rights to negotaite until May 1st. bautista hit .241, but whacked 32 HRs and 110 RBIs. Will be interesting to see if come May 1 if he has an interest to return. he turned down a two year extended offer by the Nats, leading to this decision.

I'm not to fond of him or his I dare you to hit me in the balls batting stance. Sure the Hrs are nice, but the avg hurts too much.

I don't think there will be much interest for him... He's pretty inconsistent, and nobody but the Yanks, Sox, Cards, or another top tier team is going to pay much for a power guy who misses the ball so often...

I never liked the guy. His OBP is extremely low. Not only does he rarely get hits, he rarely walks either.

Yeah but, you are giving up 110 runs batted in. Thats significant. Joe Guillen will provide some of that pop, but they need to beef up the middle with one more RBI guy.
