There's her email adress. If you are polite they will read it, so please try to refrain from yelling.

Read about half of the threads on this board. Looks like we lost our baseball team.

Here's what I wrote:

Thank you for giving me reason after reason to never live in D.C. I understand your reasoning for wanting private financing for this deal but you had your chance to say something for a long time and waited to make your 11th hour stand instead. If Washington does not get a baseball team and there are not new schools and hospitals popping up around the District, you can stick a fork in your political future.

Sincerely,

Not surprised in the suburbs

Desription (of the Dr. Phil variety) "What Were You Thinking?"

15 minutes of fame, selfishness for your bragging rights with your girlfriends, just wanting to be seen.A native son of Washington, D. C. (1954) and embarrassed by your selfish behavior. You disgrace the entire City - get a life.

Dear Linda,

I plan on moving to the District for the sole purpose of voting against you when you run for Mayor.

The next time I watch an O's game on TV, I'll look for you in the owners box snuggling up to Angelos. I'll bet he smells grand...

Admit it...you got a flu shot this year, didn't you?

Sincerely,

Dear Linda,

I support you 100 percent! Make the mayor do his job and relieve some of the financial burden from the city that is already strapped for cash. Maybe the mayor can pass the hat in the suburbs.

Respectfully,
Someone who actually lived in the poor part of the city

From another person who lived in the poor part of the city,

Linda, you used this tactic to propel your political career in DC. I hope the residents of the city will see that your plan for private funds will cost more than the original plan. Say good-bye to the revenue that would have been generated as well as the jobs that would have been created. Also say goodbye to all the new businesses that could have been created as a result of having baseball in DC.

I guess we'll start building those schools and hospitals now and I definately look forward to seeing that. I've been looking forward to it for over 10 years now. I'm sure something will get done now that baseball won't be in DC.

Thanks for Nothing.

That "Thanks for Nothing" line is especially important, Mike, seeing as that literally is what she's going to wind up giving the city.

Thanks for mentioning that you lived in the poor part part of the city, which is about 80 percent of it. Clay Terrace, Potomac Gardens, Brentwood, areas near Lincoln Park, Yuma, Naylor Rd, Minnesota Ave., Pennsylvania, all of Anacostia and Kenilworth, Seat Pleasant area, East Capitol, Alabama Ave, Staton Rd, etc. Been there, done it, got the T-shirt.

I stil think she jumped to conclusions about where'd she'd be in all of this and even showed her indecision to be decisive about her political aspirations from this event, in the future, meaning she sought to gain.

However, she was NOT deserving of my emotional, defacing, sexist remark. For that, I apologize.

Her original decision still sucks though!
