I'm predicting UNC wins by atleast 25 points. We'll be up by atleast 30 something when we put in our bench with about 10 minutes left to play.
thoughts?

Didn't Dean Smith call it the blue team when he put his reserves out there? I can see them getting alot of time in this game...Keep your eye on Marquis Cooke for Va Tech. He was a force in the Tidewater area for Nansemond River. He'll be a good one...

I've heard great things from him. How in the world did he end up in Blacksburg? Didn't UVA or some other ACC school try recruiting him?

Yeah, he had given an oral commitment to UVA, but then the Cavs got Singletary. I think Cooke has something to prove to Pete Guillen and the Whoos...BTW I say 31-41, Welcome to ACC Basketball Hokies!

i say 21-30. after watching them rip apart a talented kentucky team(at the beginning anyways, had to leave for work), i dont see how VT can make this close. i wouldnt be surprised if its closer, but i see NC winning this one soundly.

Yea, my vote is for 21-30. The Basketball program is certainly growing in Blacksburg, and we have a decent coach, but this year we just aren't at the level (and won't be for a couple years) that the rest of the ACC is. I do think we will pull at least one upset this year, but it probably won't be against UNC.

Well congratulations on a straight up dominant game, I think Coach Greenberg put it best:
"We've got a lot of work ahead of us. It's not like this is a shock. It is what it is. I didn't think it would be easy. We've got to continue to work hard and get more mature and get bigger and stronger. We've got to recruit players who can help us compete in this conference and then teach them how to compete."
I think the real question is, how do you guys match up against the Lady Hokies who just beat #12 Texas Tech. We will get our redemption :p.
