THE GOOD, the bad and the ugly from Week 14

GOOD:

-I loved the play between the twenties on O. Time of Posession 37-23.

-No INTS for Ramsey, very efficient 18-27. When he missed,, he missed high, no doubt remembering the end of last weeks game...

-Rod Gardner was a machine today! 6-111! Steady production and a great turnaround for a much maligned WR.

BAD

-Conservative playcalling in the Red Zone. Gibbs wasn't gonna get burned again and his lack of confidence in the O showed with his play selection down there.

-Special Teams were not so special...

-Skins managed only 3.2 yds per rush against a suspect Niner D. Our O line is less than adequate...

UGLY

-11 Penalties for 93 Yds. The record is well within sights...

-Sean Taylor getting cut open.

-Only 1 touchdown. Not gonna get it done against the next two teams.

Penalties, Penalties, and more Penalties, all over. Just a hanky mess!

Again, it hurts when its your leaders and trusted players, not thinking. Worse, is it was THAT kind of game that help Dallas beat us the last time, besides turnovers.

Please guys put one frikin' perfect game together and walk on the field to play that day, not basking in the previous week. JUST WIN BABY!

Another growth game for Ramsey
Griffin caused two picks with his pressure
The defense finally scored points on their own


The Bad:
Red Zone Offense is tragically predictable
Offense had a major lapse in the second half
Pierce, Washington got lit up by that 49er TE today in zone/man coverage

The Ugly
The Special Teams is a problem
Jimoh is a liability eveyhwere except special teams
The center play was good versus the pass today and horrible versus the run.

the bad - the commentators said they talked to joe gibbs last night and gibbs said the brunell saga is not over in washington. If gibbs meant anything other than that brunell will be a backup until he retires, i'm going to go crazy.

Good:
- Gardner played a great game and didn't drop any today.
- Ramsey also played great with ZERO turnovers! ;)
- DEFENSE! Causing all the turnovers for the other team. 4 INT's in a game is just great!
Bad:
- Clinton Portis ran for less than 4 yards a carry.
- The blocked punt
- PENALTIES!!!!
Ugly:
- Sean Taylor's lip kept getting messed up.

- The defense, they created picks like it was raining them and watching everyone get out in front blocking for the guys was awesome.
- Ramsey, made good decisions and through the ball hard and to the recievers and no picks.

Bad:
-Redzone playcalling, a shovel pass to Cooley come on what about the Cooley 2 yard out.
-The O-line, we flip flop every week yeah they are alright and then no their not. They got beat up by the 49ers defense to a tun of only 3 yards a carry.

Ugly:
LaVar Face Mask, good god please get rid of it.

THE GOOD: Defense (Pierce stands out), Jeff Chandler, and Ramsey's passing efficiency, and Portis running the clock out

THE BAD: We can't score in the redzone against even the worst of teams

THE UGLY: LAVAR ARRINGTON'S FACE MASK. What.....was.....that?!?!?! The most disgusting thing I've ever seen. Please......please......PLEASE don't wear that horrid thing again. Also, Sean Taylor with the tape all over his face mask. This isn't a fashion show guys, just put on the damn uniform and play.

the good- 4 ints 1 for a touchdown, gardner stepped it up, chandler, thank god, i was worried about him, hope he doesn't pull a kimrin

the bad- jimoh scares me, although harris made that int, you could tell something was missing (springs)

the ugly- penalties, i think pat dennis pisses me off. can't score in the red zone,

on a side note a far as the tape around the face mask of taylor (i think arrington had it as well) i kind of liked it, i have no idea why though

Defensive adjustments...The two scoring drives the niners had were followed by an adjusted defense that shut them down.

The bad
Penalties...The punt block

The ugly
Red zone offense. Its not just the play calling. Only one TD with the opportunities we had is just butt ugly.
The fact that has been our Achillies heel all season makes it even less attractive.

The Good - Receivers catching the ball. Going downfield a couple of times. Defense played well even with Jimoh in there on some plays.

The Bad - Jimoh having to play. Opening defensive drive. And inside the 10 play calling.

The Ugly - Special teams and Penalties kill us.

Man, I simply disagree with your Jimoh statement. What is up with all that crap. Jimoh plyaed fine. Kudos to him.

The Good: I agree. Receivers not dropping passes has made the offense more effective and I think it shows they are more comfortable with Ramsey. Gardner even stated that Ramsey is the better QB and that he feels much more comfortable with Ramsey passing.

The Bad: Special teams return coverage. It is hoorendous and I think Danny Smith needs to be held accountable.

The Ugly: 11 Penalties again.

Gotcha. Even though I think Jimoh held his own, has shown improvement in coverage, is progressing under Williams, I gree with ya on that, the last thing we do want right now is Jimoh in the game. However, looking at it in different terms, with Jimoh in, and the Skins pretty much out of the playoff hunt, just like Lemar Marshall, Ryan Clark, Chris Clemons, Ryan Boschettei, it may be good for Williams and staff to see guys like Jimoh in playing situations tomake off-season decisions.

Good: Defense continues its solid play. Gardner came through pretty well. Special teams coverage played a little better this week however....

Bad: ....Allowing a punt to be blocked is totally inexcusable. Gibbs play calling. Once again our redzone offense goes run, run, pass, run, run, pass, run, run, pass. That's not gonna get it done. Also that pitch to Cooley was HORRIBLE! Our offensive line is not consistent enought to dominate the line of scrimmage like he would like. Therefore, we need to be more creative on offense.

Ugly: More silly, undisciplined penalties. What do we have to do to minimize the penalties?

On a side note, I was at the game but opposite of the Redskins bench. I did notice Taylor got hurt but didn't get to see Taylor's injury. How bad was it?

ugly: my VCR/tape combo for messing up. kept trying to rewind on its own before 2 minute warning of 1st half so thats all i got to see

- Arrington is back! That play he made in the backfield where he decked the OT and laid out the RB was a thing of beauty.

Bad: - portis fumble
- missed blocks

The GOOD:
- No INTs is always good.
- No delay of game penalties, looks like the quicker play calling worked like a charm.
- New kicker did well
- Portis over 100 yards

The BAD:
- O needs to score more than once.
- Stupid penalties ... how did Portis get a penalty when he wasn't even on the field during that play!!!

The UGLY:
- 3 times in the red zone and only 3 FGs!!! That's why we are 5-9 ...
- double digit penalites again!
