It reminds me of the old Lawerence Taylor's mask.

I've also noticed that him and Taylor have been putting white tape on their yellow masks. Does this have any purpose at all?

just for intimidation i guess. but taylor's things is tight though. i thought taylor was crazy yesterday. every game he is in he always looks like hes gonna fight someone. my cousin and i were laughing at him. he was yelling and trash talking everybody

Not sure dj. But I did them say that the NFL will be likely to fine them for it. Its not "uniform"....

Personally, I liked the look on Lavar. It had a touch of old school.

Any chance they were trying to cut down on the glare off the yellow paint? Just a thought! Tho I agree with Brother Patrick . . it is taking us back to the "Tough" !

that facemask is an eyesore. maybe they need to figure another way of being tough.....like eating some nails for a pregame snack or something.....

How long do you think it took him to put that tape on the mask? Or do you think he had someone else do it for him?

They do it.

I don't like it when someone on a team tries to bring attention to themselves as individuals. Same with the socks...

Yeah that tape was kinda wierd and I was wondering WTF it was during the game too.

While on the subject of LaVar, I loved that FB who tried to block him and Lavar threw the shoulder at knocking him flat on his butt while trying to persue the run. BIG BAD LAVAR

That thing was hideous. And the tape on the mask serves no purpose at all. I'm not a fan of all these things anymore. The sock thing was alright, but now just put on the uniform and play ball.

Lawrence Taylor never wore that facemask. The most popular player to use it would have to be Greg Lloyd when he was in Pittsburgh.
