I can't put down 1 person so I'm saying the whole defense.

If I had to give out an MVP award to 1 player on this team, I think it would go to Cornelius Griffin.

He's done what Darryl Gardener did a few years ago, and that is simply dominate the Defensive Line. His play has allowed players like Marcus Washington to shine and has freed up his other linemates like Joe Salavae'.

Marcus Washington would be a close #2, followed by Smoot/Springs.

Pierce has been great too. He was the 2nd seed and played like the 1st seed the whole season

Yeah I'd have to give it to Griffin too. That is not a knock on any other player on the defense but considering what we were expecting from the D-line, he's done wonders. His play has allowed others to excel. Just to think we were getting some flack over signing him to such a big contract. IMO, this is the best offseason we've had in quite some time. Not great but very good.

I think was shawn springs, he is truly the defeniton of a shut-down corner in the NFL. Nobody throws quick routes at him, only deep and he gets BS pass-interference. I think we all see the impact he made on this team. He is a soild tackler and he can put a hit on you for being a corner back. To me he makes our whole secondary look great ( Not saying smoot, taylor and clark are not good) it is just that he truly is our best player on D this season. Also he proved all of the nay-sayers wrong he only missed one game this year, and he can stay healthy the hit he took is not something you can conditon for nor is it a nagging injury.

Of course this could go to about 4-5 people on D.

I'd say Griffin. He's a leader on this defense, and he's putting up big numbers. The rest of the DLine looks to him. Griffin has had a great year for us.

Gregg Williams.

Ok, if I have to pick a player then I'll go with Cornelius. Springs, Washington, Pierce, Portis are also in the mix.
