What about going after a restricted free agent WR like we did with Coles?? Someone like Andre Davis could step right in and stretch the field. Thoughts?

Not a bad idea if we give up our 3rd round pick and we can pick up another draft pick via Smoot or Gardner trade to replace it. But I'd rather use that 1st rounder for Williams or Edwards (preferably Edwards).

I'm tired of giving up draft picks. It makes watching the draft on ESPN boring after our first round pick...

I'd rather draft one or sign an unrestricted FA.

I am also an advocate of trading down from #9 for more picks...the two could go hand in hand

and hopefully the chargers and giants wont swap QB's right in the middle of our pick next time.

We don't have enough draft picks left to do that.

yea that was horrible, waiting around for highlights of Taylor and they are like "up at the podium, it's a trade! and oh yea by the way the skins took sean taylor...but now on to the trade!"

but to address the topic, i thought it was a good idea going after restricted guys like bowen and coles but now i just want to sign our own and get more draft picks.

Absolutely. I'd like for us to have numerous draft picks and build our team through the draft mainly, rather than spend huge bucks on free agents. I want more draft picks.

That was bogus. I was waiting for the commentaters to go into this Sean Taylor tirade, but he totally got overshadowed by QB swap. Ridiculous.

What sucks is that we don't have a #2. Hopefully we'll be rewarded with either a trade down or Gardner package deal.

We are missing a 2nd and 5th rounder. No more tradeing away draft picks for RFAs. It does not work. We need to acually trade down and get more picks.

We have good WRs on the team Jacobs showed me something and Gardner isn't bad in a pinch.

I have to disagree with a lot of the posts in this thread. I really don't care if the draft is boring. Who cares if the draft is boring if it helps the team? If we could trade away ALL of the draft picks this year and it would mean a better team, I'm all for it.

That being said, I really don't know if it is a good idea to use the picks we have, trade down, trade up, sign RFAs, etc... That is for the experts to decide. There are a few positions (WR, Center, DE... which are pretty generic positions to desire an upgrade around this board) that could be addressed adequately through free agency or the draft. I'll let Gibbs decide, and hope that it doesn't turn out to be another Brunell fiasco.
