DC papers say the Wizards moved the crowd with a team-record 14 3-pointers in win over Jersey. This year, Wizards also had a winning Nov. and Dec. for the first time since '85.
That is unbelievable - 1985! These guys are bringing excitement back to the area! I love it!

Ok...this is freaky. The Wizards are winning big games and playing hard. If this is a joke so help me someone is going to pay.

Although my wallet (and marriage) dont allow me to do double duty as "SuperWiz", I love this team. I have been a die hard Bullets fan for 20 years, which is to say that I have tasted the playoffs only twice.
This team can come back from any deficit, with any amount of time left, as they proved tonight. The MCI Center was packed tonight, and 20,000 fans are now more involved in these games than I have ever seen them. It even surpasses the M.J era, in my opinion.

the funny thing is, im so used to dc area teams being so low that when the page loaded on my computer i scrolled down and i was like, "where are we?" then i scrolled up an up and i was like wow

They scared me into thinking they were the same old Wizards when they blew that lead against Detroit and lost the game before but they've recovered and won four in a row. Thank you Ernie Grunfeld with kudos to Eddie Jordan.

Dave I thought the exact same thing. They crumpled under Detroit's pressure in the 2nd half and I said...they are either going to use this as a lesson learned or they are gonna fold up and pull a "Moss" on the rest of the season.
Eddie Jordan and Ernie deserve a lot of credit for the character of this club. They have a lot to work on (inside game and shot selection) but they are getting better and they do not quit.
The wizards are officially a tough out and no longer a easy win on anyone's schedule.
Thank you Ernie and Eddie!

Wiz at #7
In the East, Washington has emerged as the conference's biggest surprise. Quietly, they've assembled one of the league's deepest teams.
Jared Jeffries, Juan Dixon, Jarvis Hayes and Anthony Peeler have all found ways to thrive with Larry Hughes out.

Nope... Never. Well actually, once... When Michael Jordan returned to the NBA. But that was more about Jordan... Not the Wizards. But on NBA Nation last night, Tim Legler did mention Eddie Jordan's name at the end of their conversation about coach of the year. At least he mention him. But they seriously need to start talking about us! Sure they show highlights of our games every time we play, but they don't actually talk about us. We have to be the best team in the NBA before they talk about us though.

yea i saw that but i was laughing. i was telling my mom, i was like "we still get no respect." and she was like(i love her, she tries her hardest to follow sports) "but arent they good now?" i was like yea but we still dont even get any recognition. the whole time i was like "say eddie jordan, say eddie jordan..." and when he said it, he siad it and they just said "ok" and went to a new subject. I was like geez can u say something else than ok? nowadays we only see "the surprising wizards." The bulls always have, "they play with heart" or something :sfight:

Yeah, then I guess you're right. Always on the winning team. But I think Tom Brady is a really great QB. He never really had a good supporting cast around him on offense until this year with the aqcuisition of Corey Dillon, but he still found a way to win. He is clutch. And I don't really like Tim Duncan that much for some reason and I don't think he is as good as Tom Brady... Yes, I just compared a pretty boy QB to a classy power foward.

There's a reason why, in Week 3, we questioned Bulls' ability to rally from an 0-9 start. Reason being: Chicago is the first team ever to open 0-8 (or worse) and then surpass .500.

On the avg per game and bench support, sticking together when a key member is out, and the Head Coach of the team has everyone's attention, this and Chicago are the newest members of what dreams may come. Both can go deep in the playoffs.
Drawbacks to this are that the previous contendors for playoff spots are jelling again. Though some may appear in disarray, they aren't out of the picture, its just that now ALL teams will HAVE to include the Wizards and Bulls in it.

The Wizards are going to be harder to beat at the season's end and playoffs. Jordan knows exactly who to use in numerous situations, because he'd been through a lot with this team last year and this one, and other than the Pacers and Seattle, maybe Boston, have I seen such good use of players in very bad situations. Seattle's been crusiing, Chicago is another, but Washington's a model for handling mood swings, hard luck, and heart stopping games.
Jimreaper007

The Wizards are the 3rd best team in the east and the evolution of Heywood and Kwame are the keys to us going even higher. The Wizards absolutely need a consistent inside presence.
