Does anyone have a copy of World of Warcraft that they aren't using and would be willing to part with for a price? Or has anyone seen a copy anywhere. I will reimburse you for shipping in addition the game. Apparently Blizzard has temporarily halted production on the game and it's going for around $90 on ebay. I would appreciate any help anyone could offer.

It's on backorder. CompUSA, Amazon, everywhere is out of it. They have at least 600,000 active accounts and I think they have close to 1 million total accounts and their servers are loaded, so they've temporarily suspended production of it.

If anyone is willing to part, I will gladly compensate you for it. Just thought I'd throw that out to you all. :)

no way, game is awesome. The reason they stopped production is because there's so many people playing that when the Horde and Alliance go on "raids" (its fun :) ) it crashes the servers.... i love this game... gl getting it.... and if you do im on "skullcrusher"

I'll probably play on Drangonsmaw where my buddies are. I think I found a copy for more than retail, but much cheaper than your standard ebay rate right now. Sad part is I can't play it until I get back from a work trip. Fortunately, I don't think it will be here before I leave, so that will help the cravings. I'll just have to read up a bunch on it.

Naw, I'm gonna be a hunter. I'm going alliance so shaman and such it out. I've got buddies with a Pally, Priest, Mage, warrior, and occasionally another hunter. Then we'll add a rogue and another warrior and priest/pally or mage shortly.

Is this a new game? PC?
--- Nevermind, I clicked on the Best Buy link... seems interesting, but highly addictive. I try to avoid these addictions, but they always seem to find me.

It is very addicting, but you have to seek it out right now because it's out of stock everywhere.

I have the last games before this one. They had tons of them at Best Buy around X-mas so I was not in a rush to grab the new one.

hunters are fun, just kinda hard to find specific mobs to learn abilities from... but have fun :) (gotta have something to distract me without football around)

I heard Blizzard has told retailers no more copies for awhile. the number of people on the servers is insane.

yeah, they actually have lines to get into the servers... today i had to wait in a line of 1000 people so i went sledding for a while and came back and finally got in. The game itself is awesome but it seems blizzard just doesnt want anybody to play it.

My roommate plays on Dragonsmaw (which is where I will play soon and it is one of the lower population servers and he has no problem getting in.
Seeway, I bought it on ebay, but I'm currently traveling for work, so it will be two weeks before I will be able to play it. :( So I brought Grim Fandango to keep me occupied (It's a great puzzle game).

when i first started skullcrusher was a low population server. I would switch realms except i already have a lvl40 warrior, 30 hunter and 16 mage on skullcrusher and im not gonna give that up... just give it time skinsky, youll have a nice "realm waiting" line too :flower1:

Funny...
Maybe Pyro would be better off finding a game that does not take 1 million years to play.

When I get the game (I ordered it on bestbuy.com, its on backorder, but when it comes in, I'm guaranteed a copy,) I'll be playing on a PvP server with my friends from one of the best MMORPGs ever made, EverQuest. Up until the third expansion or so that was. I was playing EverQuest II, but everyone I've spoken to has said that World of Warcraft was so much more fun and MUCH less time consuming. So, I gave all my stuff on EQII to a friend of mine and cancelled the account, and now I am waiting anxiously to get World of Warcraft in the mail :)
I'm not saying EQ2 is a bad game, its really not. Its one of the best games SOE has made in years. Its visually stunning, and the gameplay is suprisingly good. But, I just got bored of it and I wanted to try something different, and WoW seems to be different. I can't wait to play it.

I'm in Florida right now, but there is a Gamestop here that has it. I will be leaving town tomorrow, but I could pick one up and mail it to you.

Who doesn't? :) Can't beat their shipping. Their prices, only sometimes, but the usually free or cheap shipping makes it the absolute best. And they have the best customer service, no doubt about it.

When I go to sleep I dream about the game. When I go out I think to myself, "Why am I out, I should be leveling." And yes I am pathetic...but its such a good game. :lol1:

Thats not good man. U really oughta limit the time u play. I used to be almost that bad with everquest and i was really missing out on alot of stuff. I try to stay away from games like that now.

I'm Santheb on the Shattered Hand server if anyone wants to drop me a tell :)
And jrock, everyone that played EQ was like that at some point. The difference is, though, is that this is made by an absolutely FANTASTIC company in Blizzard and not one that only cares about the money in SOE. Blizzard actually knows how to make quality games. And this is no where near as addicting as EQ was. Not nearly. You can be as casual a player as you want and still succeed. Its great :)

I might have to try WoW out then. I honestly havn't heard one bad thing about it. I especially like what u said about how u can be a casual player and still succeed. Your right about eq thats gotta be the most addicting game i've ever played.

this is kind of off topic but I have a few tips for the new people.
If you ever get stuck on a quest or can't find a certain NPC just go to www.thottbot.com and just put in the name in the desired field. It has a huge database of all the quests (I think) and maps of where stuff is. Also there's a mod called COSMOS (http://www.cosmosui.org/) that lets you bind several actions to one key and gives you more action bars and basically makes life much easier.
Hit up Lepalepakaun on skullcrusher if you ever need anything... don't play as much ever since I got my ram but maybe youll be lucky and I can help you out :)
