Wizards President of Basketball Operations Ernie Grunfeld announced today that the team has activated guard Steve Blake and placed guard Larry Hughes on the injured list with a right thumb fracture.
Blake was placed on the injured list with a left ankle sprain on January 6. In his second season, Blake has played in eight games with one start, averaging 2.9 points and 1.4 assists in 11.4 minutes.

Hughes fractured his right thumb in the fourth quarter of the Wizards’ 108-103 victory over the Phoenix Suns on January 15.

The Wizards (25-15), who have won seven consecutive games at MCI Center, host the Philadelphia 76ers tonight at 7 p.m.

Maybe we'll see Dixon and Blake on the floor together again.

I'd love to see Lonnie if he can provide some inside game.

Does that mean Larry is out longer than expected? If not, then why wait so long to put him on the injured list?

Cuz there wasn't any room on it until Steve got better.

sorry but lonnie is a scrub in the nba. i loved him in college, but hes not even a journeyman in the nba. i was laughing sooooo hard when he had the ball for the first time as a wizard, and he was at the right wing and took a jump shot, and the crowd was like, "thats lonny!!!!", and buckhantz was like, "Lonny Baxter's first shoot.................airball." I was laughing so hard i was crying
