DE, WR, Oline.
IndianBaller27

Orton looks like a second day pick.
IndianBaller27
01-29-2005, 03:22 PM
Any Marylanders there?
akhhorus
01-29-2005, 03:26 PM

he's a second, but if he continues his good Senior Bowl; he could sneak into the late first.
IndianBaller27
01-29-2005, 03:30 PM
Gibson is playing really well.... I love how he comes back to the ball... A lot of guys just sit there waiting for it to come to them. But not him.
IndianBaller27
01-29-2005, 03:30 PM

great job by Campbell there avoiding the sack... But he needs to keep his eyes downfield.

01-29-2005, 03:33 PM
the south o-line hasnt been impressive: Campbell has had to scamble a lot.

the south o-line hasnt been impressive: Campbell has had to scamble a lot.
At least he (Campbell) can scramble. That seems to be the key these days. Making something happen when everything breaks down.
IndianBaller27

Now I know what it's like to scout players. lol

That CB that had the pick looks like a very big CB.
Jimreaper007
01-29-2005, 03:36 PM
Clayton got destroyed. I like his skill but I want some size in at least one of our WR's
IndianBaller27
01-29-2005, 03:36 PM
a pretty nice return... but he has to let that go out of bounds.

Jimreaper007

Kyle Orton's fall from grace has been pretty monumental. Poor guy.
Jimreaper007
01-29-2005, 03:43 PM
Orton looks shaky...he appears to have a confidence issue because he has all the tools.
IndianBaller27
01-29-2005, 03:44 PM
nice blocking on that play
akhhorus
01-29-2005, 03:44 PM

Spears from LSU. He's huge, but he has no speed. I think he might drop out of the first. Shaun Cody is from USC.
Jimreaper007
01-29-2005, 03:44 PM
Looks like Pacman has passed Rolle at CB according to Mel
IndianBaller27
01-29-2005, 03:45 PM
what kinda throw was that??? He did a great job evading defenders, but the throw was horrible.

If you're talking about Mike Williams he is no longer eligible for college athletics
IndianBaller27
01-29-2005, 03:48 PM
College: Northern Colorado Height: 6-6
Position: Wide Receiver Weight: 235
Class: Senior 40-Yard: 4.53
SCOUTING REPORT
Strengths: Excellent size and height...Good speed...Very good athletic ability...Strong...Has good hands...Will jump over defensive backs to make the grab...Also a good punt returner...A playmaker who has a knack for making the big play and scoring touchdowns.
Weaknesses: Did not play against a top level of competition...May be too big to play wideout in the pros and could grow into a tight end...Isn't a great route runner and doesn't look smooth...Inconsistent and needs to show more effort...Isn't much of a threat to run after the catch.
Notes: Prospect with a lot of upside and potential...Also played basketball in college...One of the top sleeper prospects in the draft and a player on the rise.
http://www.nfldraftcountdown.com/playerprofiles/wr/vincentjackson.html
He might switch to TE though. Vincent Jackson

So, akh, when is Vincent Jackson supposed to go?
Second round: he's project, but the size and speed makes it too tempting.
Good sack by my fellow Cock Gause. He's huge and fast, but never lived up to the billing at SC.
akhhorus
01-29-2005, 03:58 PM
George Gause.... Is he any good?
Gause once ran a 4.6 in the 40(reportedly in high school he ran a 4.4) and he's DE. He's also 6-5 260-270 lbs. He's going to be a good pick in the late second-early third for a team. He just never lived up to his hype at South Carolina.
IndianBaller27
01-29-2005, 03:59 PM
damn... maybe we can trade up from our third round pick to get him... like this year's third and next year's third.

Mark Clayton didn't drop a ball all week? He just shot up my draft list. Goodbye 50/50.

Now there is a guy that Blache can turn into a monster if he has the desire to be good.

Now that guy has Gibbs written all over him.

Be careful: he was supposed to be Julius Peppers at SC, but he never lived up to his hype: he got lazy. But he's has an amazing body for a DE. He also played LB for a time. He'll probably stay in the third round, if he's there, the skins might want to trade up for him(or draft him with the pick you get for Gardner).
akhhorus
01-29-2005, 04:03 PM
Matt Roth is rising.

I would take a chance on an athlete that good...If that kid has the desire Blache can make him a Peppers
Jimreaper007

Yeah Roth is killing that tackle
He has a great motor and continues to get close to the QB.

yeah, but not in the second(if we trade down and pick up a second). He's a third/fourth guy. People will drool over his physical ability, but look at the game tapes and see someone who needs a fire lit under his butt.

Baas is 6-5 tall and 6-3 wide. wow, is he big.

Alex Smith is beastly. I like this dude.
whitskins
01-29-2005, 04:18 PM
Smith could have made that catch in the endzone but I think the QB waited too long to throw it. Where is he projected to go?

mid-first to early second. All depends on where Heath Miller goes: Smith wont go before him.
Jimreaper007

Baas is 6-5 tall and 6-3 wide. wow, is he big.
Mike only worry with Baas is that he lacks athleticism...That can be a big problem on the NFL level if he simply is not fast/agile enough to neutralize defenders on counters and other pulling plays...
In order for those plays to work you need very good athletes at the NFL level. If they are saying this about him now.....that is a little scary.
Just like Mike Williams...If they were telling this kid he was slow in all the Florida schools when he entered college then that will more than likely be a bigger problem in the pros.

what were they comparing him to....a SLINKIE? a bowl of PUDDING LEFT OUT IN THE WINTER?
The fastest Ive heard Spears running is a 4.8, but 5.1-5.3 is probably more consistant for him. He should bulk up and move to DT. Or lose 50 lbs.

Apparently he had a great workout this week.
That kid is rocket fast who scored just now. Runs like Dunn...very agile and good balance.

I have a feeling Mark Clayton will be a Redskin next year... Just a hunch, we'll see.
Jimreaper007
01-29-2005, 05:03 PM
Clayton appears to be a heck of a player and because of the rules changes you can have little recievers.
If the Redskins grabbed him that would be a nice pickup.

Clayton is almost identical in size and speed as Coles. The question is how tough he is.

they might be lovers: Cody is rated high, but not a top ten pick like Kiper has him. He's a tweener who seemed to disappear in the big games.
Jimreaper007

I'll pass on people who disappear...we had enough of those last year.

01-29-2005, 05:24 PM
Matt Roth is playing pretty large right now, there are a lot of DEs to choose from this year, there may not be any Julius Peppers but I don't think we need one that good, I think we should be able to score the right guy in the draft.
