As alot of you know, today is Fat Tuesday and Mardi Gras is being celebrated. Boy I wish I was in N'awlins right now. Break out the beads, Popeyes Chicken, poboys and hand grenades (drink). It's time to party.

Since its guys rush week, all of the sororities have a themed night with each of them this week. Tonight, my sisters and I will be heading to the CROW (AXP) house for a "Walk of Shame" themed party. Don't know what the walk of shame is? Its walking home the next day from a guy's house (the one you left the party with) at like 10:00 in the morning. Everybody knows where you've been because your hair is a mess, makeup smeared. Yes, you could have borrowed his clothes, but you've still got those "sexy" heals on. People know... What am I wearing? I'll be in a REALLY cute button down top buttoned the wrong way, boxer shorts, my guy's pajama pants (ya know, how the tough ones have their boxers hanging out of their pants... think of it that way) and my black high-healed boots. :gwink: The CROW guys are great, so its gonna be an AWESOME party.
That is of course this is Jimreaper reading this.... in that case dearest brother, I'll be heading over to the library after I finish tutoring the neighborhood children, and head to bed early. :D
P.S.- Hey Mike... I ain't gonna be flashing people like the birthday boy, but if i give you a kiss on the cheek can I get some beads?

AND get this - the wife is in Aruba right now and it's Carnival. OF course she's cryin the blues that it's ALL work. ......... yeah right!!!!

i've never been to new orleans but i've rolled up into bars looking like MR T. with beads and come out with lipstick all over and a big smile on my face, its amazing how much a strand of beads worth a few cents can get you.

my college roommate saved beads for 2 years to go...we filled the back of his suburban when we took them to his garage...then we had a major portion of our senior thesis moved back to that week and couldn't go...never have made it down because of that...

Been there! Done that! I was in a Karaoke Bar this past summer. I sang Donna Summer's "Last Dance". Apparently it impressed a few co-workers of mine to which they said that I had to enter a contest. Didn't happen, but what do you wish me to serenade you with my dear?

New Orleans is way too overplayed for Mardi Gras. Mobile, Key West or Charleston are much better now.

I'm sitting here in my office with a couple of Mardi Gras cds (Nevilles, Prof. Longhair, Meters, etc.) on the box, wishing I was down at the other end of the Mississippi River.
I should just schedule this day off each year. I usually just sit around thinking about the years I was down there, and don't get any work done.

I had a meeting last night that ended at 9PM. Usually when it's over most of the participants go to the bar across the street for an informal meeting. Last night everyone went home. So I did too.

The walk of shame was AMAZING. lol I was quite a hit. I've got pictures, lol they are quite funny. At least I am amused. My outfit had everything EXCEPT for the makeup hickie... I didn't want to be TOO trashy now did I?! LOL If ya really want to know the finer details, go ahead and ask!
Tonight I'll be rocking my 'Skins Jersey for Beer Olympics. But I'm Sober Sally tonight, so I'm there for the "atmosphere".
