View Full Version : Heels/Hoos Turn Back The Clock Wednesday Evening

CHAPEL HILL - The University of North Carolina Athletics, in conjunction with ESPN and Nike, will be conducting a "80s Retro Night" at the Carolina vs. Virginia game this Wednesday at the Smith Center.

Both teams will wear uniforms worn in the 1980s, and ESPN will create television graphics that were used during this era as well. Commentators Mike Patrick , Len Elmore, and Doris Burke will adorn 80s attire, and UNC Athletics is encouraging spectators to do the same as well.

Only if we can bring back a 20 year Michael Jordan. 20 year old James Worthy. 20 year old Sam Perkins. 20 year old Kenny Smith.

Do you think Terry Holland would be interested in roaming the sidelines again? :D

It should be fun to see the old unis. I think they may go back to those uni's in the coming years. I like them but I like the 90s version better, the current one's are similar but not nearly as nice so I wish they'd go back to the 90s version.

I just hope the game is close~!

BTW - If for some strange reason the basketball Gods look down favorably on the VA squad Wednesday night and give them a win, I guarantee you the UVA fans will not burn couches or incite riots on their campus. ;)
