What the hell is going on here? I'm torn between who to root for because a hokies win diminishes the accomplishments of Maryland, but proves what an overrated team Duke is, while a Duke win makes UMD look better, and eliminates VaTech from contention, but also saves duke's image.

Not that I have anything against UMD but the 2 wins have just been diminished a little. Duke is as soft as a sponge cake and won't get too far but I'm sure that doesn't sadden anyone today.

BigCountry, this win doesn't "diminish" what the Terps have done. Maryland has just shown the rest of the country how to beat Dook, and VT took advantage of that.

It was great because my friends and I left Tijuana Taco (best Mexican food in the area) and went to a bar. I walked in with like 3:00 left and the place was going nuts. I called and woke up the wife at the 1:00 mark and what was the thanks I got???

I know that you will say im a duke fan because i was on there side when you all were pileing uo them but im an ACC fan first and formost and TECH is my team, just takeing a little getting use to know that they are an ACC school.

I really don't have a prefferance this year in college bball (besides UCLA loosing for jamming up all the streets and the freeway leading to my house on game nights) but I always wanna see UNC beat Duke (no it's not just cause it's nice to agree with Carmike twice a year) so yeah I shouldn't trash talk but I'm just calling it like I see it. An F4 team shouldn't loose to a football school.

One of the duke fans said the difference between the duke@umd game and the umd@ncstate game was different refs. Well, i guess that was the difference between a 35 point loss and a 2 point win here. Duke is being exposed for the team they are. Not a 1, 2, or 3 seed, but a 4 or 5. They are soft, have 6 players in their rotation (4 are guards), and only have 1 post player.

However, i don't think unc fans have anything to talk about right now, as you are one of the few teams who have not taken advantage of Duke lately, and really haven't in 5 years.

limited basketball knowledge? You were the one pumping up duke as a FF contender when I said they would be a Sweet 16 team at best and would start to come back to earth after that 1st MD game. Someone needs to check his facts before they make foolish statements.

Congrats on last week, we played our worst game of the year and you played one of your best and you still won by just a point at home. We'll see what happens at Chapel Hill and then hopefully in DC in the ACC Tourney.

I wasn't able to watch the game, but I was shocked when I heard the news. Go VT, btw this is an ESPN Classic Instant classic and will be playing in about 9 minutes.
