Interesting tidbit from Mike Barrow actually. Sounds like he's unsure of his future here.

This is good news, i like to see gibbs surrounding himself with some younger influences. Although I am not exactly thrilled about Musgrave's leaning towards a west coast offense, even though gibbs seemed to be doing the same last season

yeah i just always thought gibbs was sort of the anti- dink and dunk. As in Gibbs use to like to manage ball control by running it - not little passes. Then he would take the big shots down field.

Eh, I doubt Zampese did that much for us anyways, no biggie. Hope Musgrave can really do something for us.

me too

throughout the season i wondered this. everyone said the nfl has changed gibbs will have to relearn. The fact of the matter is he didn't even try his old offense, he seemed to change the backbone of his offense from the beginning. I wonder if gibbs would have been more successful last season with the old offense, maybe he never really needed to change. Looks like he is stuck on developing some flavor of a west coast offense now, so we will probably never know. Too bad cause his old offense is suited to ramsey.

Zampese not returning? It was hard to tell he was ever involved after the season started.

Dink and dunk.

He was also the Cowboys OC during the season in which they won SB 30. He is widely credited for teaching Norv Turner his timing based offense. Norv may not be much of a head coach, but he can call plays and is a good offensive mind, thanks to Zampese.

zampese is a good football mind and i don't think it is ever bad to have as many of these guys around, that being said good luck zampese, with retirement or your next endever

He was conculting on a part time bassi, therefore as a consultant, we as fans have no way of judging his effectiveness and his availability. I guess with Musgrave here, Burns will take that role.

If Pierce resigns Barrow will be cut. The Clifton Smith signing is the precursor to that move. Cutting him now will save alot on our cap next season and be basically a wash this season.

If Pierce does not resign they will stick with Barrow and see how his knee progresses before the draft. If no progression watch for them to take a chance on an MLB in the 4th or 5th round and let all three< Smith, Barrow, and the rookie fight it out for the 2 roster positions open.

"Zampese not returning" ................. hmmmmmmm, I think there were a few of us who indicated Coach Gibbs would make moves toward a more "in-tuned offensive staff". ......... Seems old dogs can learn new tricks ( at least adabt) :D

You know what would be nice? If we could convince Barrow(and Brunell for that matter) to take a pay cut for the good of the team. And then once they aren't so damaging against the cap...we cut them.

If you measure a past by actually playing, then no. If you measure it by receiving $2.5million from the team for doing nothing, then yes.

It's all about your point of view.

Wow, that's pretty brutal. How about we simly ask them to take a pay cut, and if they don't, we cut them on June 1? After all, wouldn't a "Redskins-type guy" take a pay cut (especially if they didn't play half the season -- or worse, a single down?

Then nobody would take a pay cut ever again for the Skins (Wynn, Jansen, etc.) Not a good place to come if you are a FA.
