Okay so we finally get to see everyone healthy starting on Wednesday...We definitly have to show the league that we are more than serious with thirty games left

Prediction Wizards go 18-12 from here and finish with a 48-34 record

would be great to go 20-10 and finish with 50 wins

when's Larry coming back? It's been over a month now, hasn't it?

I would be sooo happy if we get 50 wins.

Larry and Kwame are expected back at any time now. We need to finish up strong, we don't want to end up playing Detriot or Miami in round 1.

Exactly, either one of them would be brutal in the first round...

not completely healthy. Dixon's going to miss another week or 2 from his sprained ankle and we don't exactly know if Hughes and Kwame will be back this wed. Larry's the biggest concern obviously and he should be ready real soon.

i think we'll go 17-13 and finish 47-35.

who cares what we finish. we're goin to the playoffs for the first time in like 8 years. hopefully, all the way til we meet Miami, but Cleveland and LeBron could be major trouble come playoff time.

welcome to hR! Love the avatar ;)

I think we can beat Cleveland in the playoffs. I'm really worried about Detroit and Miami.

im optmistic with larry and kwame back. I saw something in kwame the couple games he was in, he looked good. if only he was healthy the whole season. I dont wanna say how many games we win, but I dont think we would have a major collapse

I'm guessing he's coming back in the next game, but I'm not sure... He should come back really soon.

When Larry and Kwame come back, what do you think the starting lineup will look like? Kwame can play forward, and since we are small down low, I think it should go something like:

Gil
Larry
Antawn
Kwame
Brendan/Etan

All of a sudden, we get big down low and we all know we have the smalls to compete with anyone in the league. Could be scary :)

I was thinking the same thing...we may just be able to compete with Miami and Detroit with that lineup

i dont think we could handle shaq with any of those lineups or even a detroit team that is playing its game...but i still think we'll win it all

buckhantz and chenier both said larry would be back the game after the break (tomorrow). but we'll wait and see. definitely need a W tomorrow to snap out of this 2 game slump. is it @ the fedex center does anyone know?

that's great news. the only player we're missing is Juan.. hopefully he'll be back in a week. it seems like a whole offseason has gone by since i've last seen the WizLets play.

Gilbert Arenas Chat (http://www.nba.com/wizards/chat/gilbert_arenas_chat_022205.html)

Jeton, Kosova: First of all congrats on participating in the all-star weekend, what are your thoughts on Wizards this year?

Gilbert Arenas: I think we're doing a great job. Or we did a great job in the first half this season, at least better than expected. But we know we need to come even better in the second half. That's when we really need to step it up.

An interesting look at Gilbert.

everyone on the wizards should be shooting for 50 wins, it wont be easy but that should be our goal

DAMN IT! I WISH I HAD COMCAST!!!!!!!!!! I wanna see what Kwame can do. But I don't think it will be much. And I'm expecting 10-15 points from Larry. 24 from Gilbert, and 23 from 'Tawn.

Is it just me or does anyone else see a problem when Arenas is only averaging 5 assists per game but scoring 30 points a game?

The true sign of a healthy team is the point guard making everyone else on the court better and not jacking up all the shots himself. It makes the wizards much easier to defend when you know the point guard won't pass the rock.

In order for the Wizards to make the Defense better they need to take higher percentage shots on offense which means going inside instead of having the Arenas-Hughes show from beyond the arc. The point guard should drag the center up to 10-12ppg (heywood at 9ppg) and the SF to 10-15ppg (Jefferies at 7ppg).

I love the effort, talent and the great play thus far but in order to take it up a notch the Wizards need to play smarter on offense and tougher on defense.

we play stupidly on offense, but we are getting the job done. The real problem is defense.

If we weren't so stupid on offense and took higher percentage shots our defense would be much better.

we jack up shots that we shouldn't. Gilbert usually thinks shoot before pass. That's really bad for a PG. Instead of making that extra pass, we shoot. Stuff like that.

Just because Arenas can score 40 points a night does not make it a good thing that he try to every night. Have you noticed how easy it is for the Detroits, Miami's and other good teams to beat us?

The Wizards are scoring over 100 points a game but their poor shot selection allows our opponets to score 100 points a game to and keep the game close. If that team has a hint of defensive pressure the wizards fold like a GP-Medium tent. If the Zards took more high percentage shots they would get more rebounds and actually be in better positions to defend.

Good shot selection actaully helps your defense. For an example of what I am talking about watch the pistons play. They do not jack up 1 million 3 point attempts. They get the ball down low or off screens for high percentage shots and rebounds. They play smart offensively so they can play tough defense and make you make mistakes.

The last game against them was a clear cut case of the Zards taking the dumbest shots in the history of basketball while the Pistons virtually scored on every possession. Smart and efficient beats flashy 9 times out of 10.
