i always say the wiz will lose as a tradition, but i really cant see us losing this one because of how much excitement the phone booth(mci center) will have cuz of larry. i think we win 107-100. larry gets 18, and one dunk on skinner

Jared Jeffries will not play tonight, he got hurt in the Bulls game. Kwame Brown will start and Jamison will move to his natural position at quick forward. Looks like Larry Hughes might not play. He's scheduled for an x-ray at game time to ensure the bone has healed sufficiently.

Hughes and Jeffries not playing. down 32-24 at end of 1st. we're a much bigger but slower team with Kwame at 4 and Jamison at 3.

Damn - that's why I can't find it. Direct TV needs to add NC8 to their local package.

You are right...and Antawn Jamison was absolutely horrible today...he needs to stop settling for so many jump shots...if he isn't scoring then he is a complete liability in the game

he was worst then horrible.. he couldn't hit the side of a freight ship while docked.. AND his defense was laughable (some guy named Evans dunked on him.. he's a liability on defense) AND he had 6 TO's and almost all of them late in the game that really cost us.

Even though the Wizards lost, I saw Gilbert actually feeding the ball inside to the big men which is a plus. Considering Sacremento was doubling Arenas it was wise of him to try and find the open man.

Having Larry back should help a great deal and hopefully Kwame will get his sea legs and start to contribute. Teams will start keying on Arenas and Hughes so the key for the Wizards is to continue to feed the big men. The Big guys are the key to how far the Wizards will go.

Even though we are a slower team, I like Kwame being in the game. He can make foul shots, and he can rebound.

bad game, we were so close of winning it. i wonder what our record would be if we made our free throws

No clue man but we would definitely be a lot better.

Mobley had to be restrained as he jawed with a fan while leaving the court after the game. "He was talking the whole game, specifically to me and (about) Gilbert being hot and having a certain amount of points and I only got this amount of points. 'I come alive in the fourth,' that's what I said to him," Mobley said.

I would've liked to see him "jaw off" to #56 sitting at courtside :P

What happened at the end? Arenas fouled the guy with 1 second left? Was it a legit call?

Santheb

I think it was at the end when Gilbert shot, Kwame tipped it (pretty bad tip, actually,) and Brendan and a King went up for it and they called it on Brendan when it was actually on the King.

the refs should be ashamed of themselves the kings should have never had possession of the ball, there was a number of one sided calls in the forth quarter a quarter when the kings shot 10 more free throws (which should never happen),

and kwame what the hell were you thinking?!@?@?@?
you take an extremely low precentage tap in your 3rd game back to win the game, when all you had to do was get the rebound and pull the ball out and set up for the game winning shot opportunities (there was 19 secs left in a tie ball game, stupid basketball), play for the last shot if you miss go to overtime

Now, I have come to expect extremely bad calls that ALWAYS hurt us. Happened with the Skins and it's happened a few times for the Wiz. Hopefully we can bounce back in our next game.

I know but after that... The Kings got the ball with 19 seconds left and then shot two free throws with 1 second on the clock to win the game. Did Gilbert foul the guy on the final shot of the game? (I didnt see the game, was just watching the updates on NBA.com).

Santheb

Ohhhh, k, I was thinking of the OTHER bad call, lol.

Gilbert did foul him, he admitted that, but said this:

"I don't understand it sometimes," Arenas said. "I probably drive the lane as strong as anybody in the league, and I don't get the same calls anybody gets, like an Iverson, who can shoot 26 free throws a night. Because he's little, he gets hit. Because I'm bigger, when I get hit, they don't do anything with it. Last night, I should have shot 20-something free throws; tonight I should have shot 20-something free throws. But I guess I've got to get more years in the league to get that call."

As for his foul on Mobley, Arenas said: "It's not one of those calls you make when I drove the ball 10 times and he did the same thing to me and you don't call those. It's one second left, you let that go. Let's go to overtime."

Yeah, Gilbert is right. There's one second left. Let it go and take it to overtime. Let the players play. The refs basically won the game for the Kings.

although a poor performance by the ref gaev the kings the ball and 2 free throws...the kings were also were got back into the game because of turnovers and poor free throw shooting on the wizards part
