COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) -- South Carolina dismissed leading rusher Demetris Summers from the team Tuesday for violating athletics department policy.

"There are certain policies and rules that our student-athletes must follow and unfortunately, Demetris chose to violate those," coach Steve Spurrier said in a statement. "That's where we are with this and we'll move on from here."

Oh crap, this isn't good. In a pass happy offense loing the number #2 recruiting running back in the country last year shouldn't hurt but it does. SC has a horrible history with RBs recently. Well, I am surprised, but the guy did gradute high school two years ago, when he was 20! and he has a kid already. Just hope he doesn't go to Clemson next season. Taht would be the worst sting of all.

BFD. They still have Turman and they recruited two good RBs. Spurrier doesnt put up with any crap and he wont pander to players because of where they are in the depth chart. He should be applauded for having the Huevos Rancheros to do this. I dont care where he goes, he shouldnt have broken the rules.

after an on the field brawl with the instate rivals, a bunch of unnamed players stole a whole bunch of stuff from Clemson's staduim, pictures, trophies, crap like that. Then after the team annouced that it wouldn't go to a bowl game this year, a bunch of unnamed players stole video equipment from our staduim. I am assuming he is an unnamed player.

I had heard something of that nature, but wasnt suer if this guy was involved in the whole thing. Guess he was!!

And this will be a down year for Pickens. They lost a ton of talent, and while they had a nice recruiting class, they arent ready to contribute. Its the Charlie Whitehurst show. And he did SOOOOO well this past season(lmao).
