Losing Smoot and Pierce hurts we all liked both.
But I think that one of the main reasons we were the 3rd ranked D is that we played Team D.
We lost Lavar, Bowen, Daniels, Lott, etc. and still played Great. All of these guys will be back next year.
But wait it doesn't end there, We run a constantly changing scheme that employs lots of deception and aggresiveness. Team Driven.

G Will seems to get the most out of all his boys. See Clark/Griffen/Pierce.
This years potential crop Clemons/Marshall/Wilds.

Here are your choices: 1. Draft Shawn Merriman sign Andre Dyson. Or
2. Draft Antrell Rolle sign FA DL ie. M.Douglas.

Hence the shift for the first pick gets shifted to D. If Mike or Braylon slip then we'll have a tough choice. But either way the point is......................... down to the nuts and bolts We can still be a TOP TEN D. we can draft WR later in draft. or reverse.Oh, btw Toevernius sucks.

I agree after losing 2 defensive starters in FA drafting a WR has become a luxury. I would love to see us target a CB in the 1st because of their importance to the defense. DE is not the glaring need the CB is now but you are right Dyson is still on the market.

The reason we could keep changing the scheme and blitzing from everywhere was because we had good CBs that could cover man to man.

We are a team that plays good defense and runs the ball so forget a WR becxuase they do neither.
