Interesting interview because Snyder has not given an interview in 2 years. Heres the link.

Quote: We played the Eagles pretty good the second game at home. We can compete with them. We're going in the right direction. But it takes time.
I think he is hinting that we are at least a year away from being truly competitive with the iggles. Just my hunch.

I'm glad Dan has the same feelings about coach gibbs as I do and many others.

Thanks for posting this, ruggedfan.
Good interview, but my favorite part was.......
"One of the things that bothers me is that I've been painted by some as the greedy owner. In reality, we haven't raised our general admission ticket prices for four years. That story runs on D8 as a blurb. The story that says we've changed our credit-card policy runs on A1 five times. At a certain point, there has to be some journalistic integrity."
Nice stab at the Washington Post here.
The Post deserves everything they got from their "journalistic intergrity."

Anyone happen to notice his admission that firing Casserly was one of his first mistakes?

Yes and that was even reported before as well.

anyone believe this Interview was retaliation against the Post for the Coles story and other 'negative' article that hacve come from the Post lately? Why woudl he choose the Times of all papers except for a little rub in the nose mentality?

also interesting over, firing of casserly, signing of Sander, he still ranks his worst decision was hiring spurrier. Dan, I agree.

That was a good read... nothing really surprising but interesting. I'm not sure Snyder was being completely honest when he spoke about Spurrier though. I don't think he was trying hard to convince SS to return.

Thats exactly what I think. Snyder has been ripped in the past by the Times, especially by Dan Daly, so I can't see any other reason he would do an interview with them.

I think "We're heading in the right direction" might be the new "Freedom is on the march."
Count how many times it's in there. Good read though.

Yeah. This might be a sign of a switch back to the Kemp days where Times got preference over the pOst. I hope not because I truly believe the Post reporters actually do a better job. Remember it was a times reporter floating that ridiculous Lavar for Moss rumor. They have taken pot shots at Snyder for nothing as well.
This little feud should play out over the season. It will be interesting.

lol I was just about to say that. Good read to start off the morning, but IMO his worst move was firing Marty after the first season.

I thought the best part of the article was this:
TWT: But New York is only getting a Super Bowl with a roofed stadium. The same thing is happening in Indianapolis, Kansas City and Dallas. You don't have a roof.
Snyder: There are ways of putting up an inflatable roof that will last for a Super Bowl. The technology is moving pretty quickly. We think it could work. If we want to put a roof on, we'll put a roof on. We've talked to the NFL about it, and they think it's a good idea.
Now that is why I like Snyder. Always thinking out of the box. An inflatable roof!!!!!!
Personally I think the NFL owners should stop being such wussies and get back to Superbowl in cold weather cities every now and then. We all remember the Snow bowl in the playoffs a few years ago and how much fun it was to watch. Sure the stadium fans will be a little uncomfortable but the TV ratings is what drives the Superbowl.

The tv ratings are already as high as they can get.

I enjoyed reading what Danny had to say..I like the psrt when he said he woiced his concerns with Toe-Toe. That was good to hear....I'm pretty sure he did say that to him.
I wish he would have talked about Norv more.... The leaving the stadium move and going to dinner, while Norv was there waiting for them, being seen leavin with the custodians..was THE TRUE DANNY CLASSIC.

I agree~! What a great answer by Snyder. Don't have a roof? Ok...we will put up a temporary one!

Which is why they can afford to do the superbowl in a winter city. People will watch because it is a Superbowl, not because of where it is played.

Good read, thanks for posting.
I wonder how tense things really were with him and Marty because that was as close as we've ever been to turning it around in recent years. It must have been bad.

OK if you insist, I volunteer to sit in the cold windy snowy seats at the SB.
Its a dirty job but someone has to do it
A roof would be nice but I would be ok without one.
that was a good interview....Dan is really getting it together.

I hated Marty ball. Watching the Jimmy Raye offense was like watching fissures form on an ice shelf. I'm glad they're gone.

Not to mention you could not get a job on the coaching staff unless your last name was schottenheimer.

That's right, his brother coached the defense. Wasn't his son in on the scam somewhere too?

This question was asked:
TWT: So you're not going to tell Joe which cornerback you want to take with the ninth pick in the draft?
Do you think something was said in the interview that was deleted, but they forgot to take this out? Or maybe it was just used as an example?
Other than this question, which just puzzled me, I thought it was a great interview, and it gave me a good feeling about the next few years. :)

I actually liked Kurt better than Marty.
Kurt actually had a top 10 defense that year. (Top 8 to be exact) And somehow, he turned the Skins' D into an INT machine. Heck...even Lavar had 3 INTs....(Same # as Champ...lol)

I agree, I think that staff used Lavar better than any other so far. I still remember our defense completely shutting the Eagles down.

When our Beloved Teams starts a winning streak of 3 - 4 games the decibel levels will rise...And when SuperSkin is supercharged it's going to go ballistic !!!!!
