Anyone think this is a questionable move on his part to leave Germany to come back and play in the states? I question his desire to be the best he can be by coming home....he's coming back where he's the big fish in a small pond and can have his ego constantly stoked instead of making himself better and pushing through adversity in europe. Its kinda like the jump from highschool to college for many d1 athletes...I know for me going from hs to college athletics was a kick in the b@lls...went from being one of the best around to being surrounded by people that were all 1st team all state players/all met players... The problem I have is that instead of pushing through it he's coming back home to his comfort zone...anyone else think he's a chicken?
this could go one of two directions. he could take the unlimited playing time and get much better by working hard, or he could max out because he's playing against inferior competition (though the gap isn't as big anymore as a lot of people think it is). it's going to come down to how hard he wants to work.
what really ticks me off about all this is that two seasons in a row, Dallas was in line to get a great player (Adu and now Landon) but MLS is sending them elsewhere for marketability.

Dallas is still SCARY. They have Eddie Johnson and Carlos Ruiz, probably the 2 best goal scorers in MLS. Add Greg Vanney, Alex Yi, and some other new aquisitions and that team is going to be very good. Too bad they have no fan support, but they are moving to a new stadium.

yeah...i was a huge fan when i lived there, but it's a pain to keep up with them with the limited coverage i get up here. that new stadium is supposed to be nice. i wouldn't be surprised to see national team games there...won't be a big homefield advantage though with the CONCACAF teams unfortunately

I think they're playing T&T there. That's the problem with Jamaica being left out of the hex in place of Panama. That's one less game where we get real home-field.
