This is on Espn and so far we are 2-0 on Nationally Televised game this year...lets make 3-0 tonight

Wizards 110
Cavs 95
Antawn gets 30

I want the Wizards to concentrate less on winning while concentrating more on defensive intensity and smarter decisions/exceution on the offensive end. I want to see them treat each possession like gold tonight and concentrate on taking good-smart shots.

I do not care about the outcome.

wow

i hope we can match our intensity that we had last game with this one. we play better when everybody is watching, and i hope the ball gets passed a lot and everyone gest touches. i think that arenas will go buck in this one though, because he probably knows that the national tv audience hasnt really seen him play like we know he can

arenas: 35
jamison: 22
hughes: 19 10 rebs 3 stls

The Cavs have been slumping but should be incredibly emotionally charged to play this game. We need to match them b/c we are fighting for home court so we need wins too. Let's get one.

Wiz 102
Cavs 97

Jimreaper007

They are playing smarter thus far.

Lebron is going to have a monster night, but that will hurt the cavaliers because he is trying to do everything already.

Jimreaper007

Jefferies and Hughes are without a doubt the two most balanced Wizards in terms of offensive and defensive skill.

whitskins
04-15-2005, 07:25 PM
I can see what the "Will Lebron Bolt" questions are popping up, the rest of his team sucks. What happened to Ilguaskas after the all star break? That dude was a beast but now he's just a bumbling waste of space, is he injured or something?

whitskins

Kwame with two fouls in like two minutes... Getting mauled by Tractor Trailer... I'm not even gonna say anything else.

Wait make that three fouls and a technical...

Wow, Kwame sucks.

Way to go Kwame!

Way to show some Ballz

In defense of my earlier blast on Kwame that was a clean block. I doubt we see him at all in the second quarter though, oh well.

Smart Basketball...I love it

04-15-2005, 07:42 PM
Jamison's jump shot really does a lot for this team, he opens up the floor so much because he can just straight stroke it from outside. He also goes strong to the hoop, how was this guy coming off the bench last year for Dallas??

I absolutely hate Stephen A. Smith. With a passion.

Ok, they only out scored us by 2 in the second quarter, we're obviously going to go off on them in the 3rd quarter.

Dre-The-Great

Arenas is playing a supurb game so far with 12 points and 6 assists...but I would like to see less forced shots from us.

whitskins
04-15-2005, 08:25 PM
The rebound after Lebron's half court shot was inexcusable. These guys better wake the heck up on the defensive glass.

whitskins
04-15-2005, 08:31 PM
Playing bad basketball, just because we clinched a spot doesn't mean we can't match their intensity, we have serious issues at stake too like home court.

whitskins
04-15-2005, 08:37 PM
This team has an allergic reaction to rebounding tonight. This is getting really old.

whitskins
04-15-2005, 08:48 PM
Eddie Jordan gets tossed, I don't blame him Lebron gets to the line every time someone breathes on him and Gilbert has to go through a brick wall to get a call, this is total garbage.

whitskins
04-15-2005, 09:26 PM
Juan Dixon is simply lights out from the floor in the fourth quarter, this guy won't miss. And Gilbert is having simply one of his best games of the year, if we stay strong for the last two minutes we can't lose this game.

YES!! I got a little nervous at certain points but our boys closed em out. Great job by this team, and the Pacers look like they're about to lose so we take over the #5 seed, I want the Bulls!! Let's keep winning!

GolfFreak

Pacers lost - where does that put us?

How about big three - 85 points out of 119!!! That's insane.

We are now in sole possession of the #5 seed, one game above the Pacers and one game behind the Bulls. If we tie the Bulls we win the tie breaker, so hopefully we can finish with three more wins and hope to get the home court.

Yea and the Bulls and Pacers play each other the last game of the season. Great win...Great Game from Gil and Larry...That dunk by Gil over Traylor was just nasty even though it didn't count.

Great win. The Cavs needed this so much more than us and we kept the intensity all night. Gilbert is so smooth, I just love him. The ESPN guys had a lot of good things to say about our team tonight too. Great win.

He is becoming a great player for this town. They had a lot of good things to say tonight about him being active in the community. He could be a great player for us for a long time. He's only 23 years old. He's actually younger than Kwame.

Check that. Gilbert is two months older than Kwame. But still, he's the third youngest guy the team. He must have graduated high school at age 17 cause he played 2 years in college and this is his 4th year in the pros.

Yea I was thinking the same thing...cause he was 19 when he entered the NBA...but he played 2 years at Arizona...so he must have been 17 when he left high school.

Man, what a great game!!!! Gilbert is officially a BEAST! That dunk was CRAZY, but they didn't even show it on SC this morning.

And next Saturday is a big day.... NBA Playoffs and THE NFL DRAFT!!!! If we win our first playoff game and Mike Williams drops to #9... I would die happy.

gilbert was toying with the cavs. that was such a great game, all we need now is better interior defense and we got a real deadly team. offensively, this is the best we have played all year, and ive seen almost every game so far

Those commentators were making me so mad! All they said was "LeBron is carrying his team!" "LeBron is playing alone out there!" Whatever man, he wasn't playing alone, he had four other people out there playing with him. They just weren't very good.

Great game last night and YES, GILBERT IS A B-E-A-S-T!

No, he was carrying his team. All the other guys did was get offensive rebounds.

Other people scored as well, but LeBron is doing what is expected of him: being the star. After all, he is arguably the best player in the league.

after hearing the natl tv broadcasters for 2 straight games, i realized how much i enjoy steve buckhantz and phil chenier. the espn broadcasters dont even know that much about the wizards, and they were just making stuff up as they spoke. TNT is a lot better IMO

Greg Anthony is good, but he's an analyst... Not a play by play guy... And Charles Barkley is good.

Agreed. Buckhantz can get a little annoying sometimes, but its alright because Chenier is a top quality color commentator. And Buck isn't as bad as either of those guys that ESPN had broadcasting last night.

edit: Just to let people know, I didn't mean "colored" commentator :P Buck is the play-by-play guy, and Chenier is the color commentator that sort of breaks things down and everything. Anybody who's been watching CSN the whole year knows what I'm talking about.

lol we know what u mean

what i also realized is how much steve buckhantz gets worried. i was swicthing the channels everyonce and a while from CSN and espn and buck was going crazy when the cavs tied it up in the 3rd and on espn, theyw erent saying anything

since this game was on nat'l tv, i actually had the chance to see a little bit of the game. :) the wiz looked good and seem to be getting on a little roll heading into the PLAYOFFS.

eventhough i expected them to make it, i still cant believe the wizards are in the PLAYOFFS!

Gilbert really put his team on the map by leading that young squad to a first round playoff win, if Gilbert can do the same thing he should come close to receiving the same amount of attention, but I don't think we'll get the legit respect until we win a playoff series. Let's get it done.

I went to the game. Gilbert was awesome. We were in the last row, up top. Those seats suck! We were so high up I could't tell if the shots had any arc on them. Labron is easy to pick out, even from a high altitude. He's the man.

I think Arenas and Wade are comparable. The biggest difference is the Shaq factor. Shaq makes everyone look better than they are (see Kobe post Shaq).

Kobe still looks really good. And Dwayne was good last season without Shaq.
