View Full Version : Going to the game today! (4/17/05)

My tickets are up in 400's, but I'm just excited to go. I'm not a big fan of baseball, but I really enjoy going to several games a year. Going to the tail end of the first home series will be pretty special.

I just hope they keep up the great work they have shown the last 4 games. I'm betting Arizona is demoralized and lets the Nats beat them up again so they can get out of town!

I hate living here. [Not really. I love North Carolina] I just wished it was closer to the DC area so I could make some baseball games this year....

Wish I could be there, too. Make sure to bring your own food, all those reports of massive lines at concession stands would have me worried about missing a couple innings to get a hot dog.

3-0 Diamondbacks early...hopefully Loazia settles down and the offense is as productive as last night.

Everybody is jumping..... i am young but when the skins played there wasn't it a kind of attraction that the stands would bounce?

7-3 us w/ 2 on base and the big seventh inning

30 minutes later same score but top of 9th and 2 outs i guess everyone gets home allittle early!!!! 2 balls 2 strikes. i hope for a strike out and......... and ..... a catch to end the game! NATS SWEEP ARIZONA!!!!!

LOL...some dude ran around the upper bowl with a broom during the 9th inning.

JDS - You can't bring food into the stadium. There are signs everywhere at the entrances.

RFK is basically the same structure. They just moved some seats around. The concessions SUCK, as the best food you can get is sausages and hot dogs. The field looked great...and you couldnt' tell it poses as a soccor stadium on the weeeknds.

Great game, though. That 6-run inning was awsome. The crowd (75% full?) was really alive during that stretch. And yes...the lower level was bouncing at one point.

They unveiled the offical "mascot" yesterday. It looks like an 80-year old version of Slapshot, the mascot for the Caps.
