Jon Jansen. I know, he didn't play last year but so far since he has been here, he has given the best performance per pay of anybody.

Mark Brunell .... what - you don't agree?
j/k ... I'll go w/ Clinton on O and Washington on D.

I'm gonna go with Shawn Springs. If he plays like that this year and doesn't get injured, he's gonna be a beast. Second place goes to Sean Taylor.

Off the field- Mark Brunell, he's been nothing but class since we picked him up and I for one am glad he's on the roster(but not the field).
Sean Taylor is the best on the field, he was a pro bowl alternate last year only because Dawkins is established in the league already.

I think Taylor has potential to be the best player on the team, but he's not even close to there yet. Looking at highlight reels last year, Taylor was a beast, but looking at every play, he still has a long way to go. In my opinion, he probably shouldn't have been even an alternate for the probowl last season. But with a year of playing under his belt now, he could easily win the title of best redskin player next year.

Sean Taylor, the man scares receievers and will be a huge part of our defense for years to come (if he sticks around of course).

As far as the ability to make game changing plays I will have to go with Sean Taylor, then CP.

I'll agree! Look at how poorly the O-line played last season.; It is the most important position in football and Jansen is the best IMHO.

I like Marcus Washington. Played every down last year and held the lb corp together.

I would have to agree with Portis. His only real comptetion is Marcus Washington. Portis does everything you want from a back and is a threat everytime he touches it. Washington is a complete backer and seldom had a bad play, much less a bad game.
Taylor gets beat too often. Yes, he can make big plays but he also gives them up. Until he gets the mental part of his game up around the physical part, that will continue.

i'll go with either shawn springs or marcus washington. its too hard for me to pick jansen(injured) or portis(wasnt effective in short yardage situations, fumbled a bit last year). but springs held his own agaisnt every receiver he faced, including shutting down TO twice.

4 way tie for me as well.. Springs, Washington, Portis and Jansen.. but Jansen eeks out due to his longevity within the team.

O - Jansen.
D - Washington.

Our most valuable player is Jon Jansen--our offensive captain last year heading into preseason. Our best player, just as far as who has the best chance to go to the hall of fame, is a tie between Clinton Portis and Sean Taylor, with me leaning toward ST because of how unique he is. He will completely redefine FS.

Springs or Washington. Both were North Star consistant, blue collar get the job done guys. Both played way above expectations. The only other player even close is Griffen.

It would have to absolutely be Clinton Portis. You can just tell he is something special. Has that superstar quality in everything he does. But, there is a guy on the other side of the ball who may take that away from Portis....Another Miami Hurricane, if you know what I mean.

Sean Taylor is the best from last year, but wait a minute Lavar is prowelling around and when he is ready to play he is gonna have a chip on his shoulder. #2 Defense without him. As long as he is healthy he is going to prove that he is the best defender we have. But until he is back it is Sean.
