Interesting, I would have to say I agree of almost all of that Ford. We might hear some heads banging soon though. I think the Skins are definetly going to have to prove something to keep the #1 ranked WR unit.

I agree with most of that. I'd probably bump the Eagles' CBs up to #1, though.

I think if simply overall skill is concerned, Ramsey is ahead of Collins. The only reason Collins can be rated ahead of Ramsey is pure longevity. Collins is weak... IMO.

I think Collins gets overlooked alot, he threw for 4073 yards19 tds 14 ints he completed 61 percent of his passes and had a rating of 85. There was only a few QB's with more yards than Kerry. If Ramsey puts up these numbers this year I will be happy ( like a few more TDs)

I agree with most of that just think we might be higher in the safety area once the season begins. I have been hearing good things about that safety we got from Green Bay.

Yup. As much as I love Ram, I owuld bnever put him over Kerry Collins until he walks the walk and proves it. Collins gotta bad rap for some stupid decisions when he was younger and that may contribute to the lack of respect, but I agree with Skins 57, I really think he is overlooked. I would not put Ram over him yet, not a chance. You gotta prove the worth. Lets bring this thread back mid-season, then I will answer it fully.
CB question is difficult. Which Fred Smoot will show up in '03, then that answers the Eagle/Redskin CB question.

Yep. I was thinkin the same thing......Vincent/Taylor is a stronger combo than Bailey/Smoot......though that could change this year if Freddy shuts his trap and just goes out and plays ball......

I say i agree with all of Ford's predictions except i also think Philly's CB's are a little better right now and i also think both our safty and D-line play will be better than most think. We don't have Gardener at DT anymore but we have better depth b/c of it and hardworking guys with something to prove. All it would take ifs for BigDaddy to play one year in shape and up to potential.W/ the addition of Haley,Upshaw, & Noble along w/better play from Wynn and Bruce playing passing downs i've seen worse playoff caliber D-lines.As for safties i hear Terell's in much better shape(bulked up i think )along w/Ohalete,Bowens & Lott there is depth and competition and who to say this NFLE safty can't play.I don't remember thinking when Brad was there or Kurt that they would be SB caliber QB's and wouldn't QB be the hardest to achieve stardom at?I tend to ramble bear w/ me

It's a great discussion, I touched on it at one site like this. Like 'Pen' I'm a "nothings real until I see it on the field" kind of guy (what's the famous quote, "potential is mankinds greatest burden.)

Definitely with Keino on CBs. Vincent/Taylor is the best combo, though I think Bailey is the best single cb.
And I'm with PenSkin on QBs. I love Ramsey & I think he's the real deal, but C.O.D. baby. Also I think Collins is very average and is as good as he's going to get, but Ramsey's is only in his second year. I expect Ramsey to pass Collins up on the long term like McNabb did, but not necessarily this year.
Seasons getting close.

I hope by the end of next season Ram is a hard choice with McNabb but right now he is only ahead of whatever is under center in Dallas

Sadly, some Cowboys fans would disagree with you.

What do you expect they have no choice but to beleive the guys they have right now will get it done. I think Parcells is in a situation like Marty was for us. He has no QB right now and will probably regret not looking for one sooner. I wonder after a few preseason games will he start looking for Banks.

OK, you guys are going a bit too far in this topic.
THe Eagles have the best Offensive Line, NOBODY in the NFC EAST can even touch McNabb, Our corners blow EVERYONE Away, Our Safety (Brian Dawkins) BLOWS EVERYONE AWAY, Our special teams fell a bit, but they are still the best in the division.
I admit our Wide receivers are not up there, but they will be after this year, I'll give it to you skins, but the Giants are right up there with ya, Big word for you Deadskin fans CONTINUITY
Our DE's are gonna be beasts, but right now The Giants are at the top due to Strahan alone, but we'll overtake after week 6
Our DT's are healthy and Corey Simon was the BIG reason Hugh was such a beast, watch out for the rooks
TE goes to the Giants, but watch out for LJ Smith. Shockey like ability, none of the mouth.
the Giants corners I think go neck in neck with your. The Wills are extremely talented and young. I'm kinda hopin we nab Champ from ya next year, he would look good in green.
As for QB, Collins IS proven. He is a damn good quarterback and he doesn't get half the acknowledgments he should, but thats only because he is behind McNabb.
Your Linebackers are terrors, when they start to play together.
Serious question WHO is on your offensive line and how long have they been on the team starting?

OK... let me get this straight... you make the comment that your corners are the BEST!... and then in the same post you drool over grabbing one of our corners next year?

Yeah, considering age, I'm not allowed to do that??
Champ by himself is not that great, but you put him with Vincent/Taylor, and the other MAKES his year. sorry, but that IS the truth
Seems he wants to be with a winner anyways :P

Champ by himself is not that great
Only one of the top five CBs in the game, even ranked as the best occasionally.... Yeah... He must need all the help he can get.

THe meaning of the statemnet is this, give him a Taylor or a Vincent, and he is in the best defensive backfield in the league, period

I agree that Taylor and Vincent are very good. But, I just cant place them as far above Champ and Smoot as you are. I think it is an even match.
Add that to what you have lost and what we have gained this offseason... and I think you may be surprised this year.
