Veteran cornerback Donnie Abraham will likely retire rather than returning to the Jets for this 10th season. According to the Newark Star-Ledger, quoting "two people with knowledge of the situation," Abraham is expected to call it quits, although the team will likely wait until after June 1 to make it official.

This isnt much of a surprise. They were going to dump him after June 1st and no one seemed interested in giving him more than a minimum deal.

The Jets now despretely need a corner. Watch them throw some big money now at Ty Law.

This is why I was so surprised they took a kicker with their first pick during the draft.

Too bad kelly won't be around any longer......alright, low blow....:)

It was very misleading :)

The Jets have been rumored for a while now to be the front runner for Law so I'll bet he ends up there and if he's anywhere near 100% and JOHN Abraham is healthy(which he never is but...) they will have one scary defense.

They took the Kicker and got the best corner who was available when they took the kicker, Justin Miller was a 1st rd pick until his party. The Jets made out very well, it was alot of luck but it was on their side on draft day.

That kicker is supposed to be a stud but it would be hard to use a 2nd rounder on a kicker. He should be nailing everything from 50yds in.

I guess when your kicker misses 2 FGs w/ a trip to the AFC Championship Game on the line it makes a front office do strange things. There is going to be a ton of pressure on him but by all accounts he should be a big time K.

This is the J-E-T-S we're talking about here. This is the FO that took Kyle Brady at 6th overall. This is the FO whose draft history prompted Mel Kiper to say "I'm not sure that the Jets understanf the concept of the draft". They draft who they want, when they want.

Actually it's not the same FO, that's like saying the skins current FO is the same FO that drafted well in the 80s. This FO is completely different and they have one of the top FO's in the league, one in which we should be very jealous of.
