Ok....just posting articles to radical right wing forums is not fostering debate. I for one am sick of people who never served (Cheney) or did not show up for their sevice (Bush) and their allies attacking any soldier let alone Kerry.

Let it go louie.

Statement by Senator John Forbes Kerry, Massachusetts

My friends, I am under attack by a lynch mob of salivating morons who would rather discuss whether or not I have signed Form SF-180 than the important issues facing us today.

That sounds about right to me.

Bring this up again in 3.5 years, okay? Until then, though...

I am not sure it is fair tom bring up Service in the first place. Should he sign the whosawhatsit form? As a matter of privacy probably not as a matter of doing what you said you would maybe so. I just think this is such a non issue since the people on his boat back up his story 100% and very publicly. Where you still can't get one guy to say he served with Bush.

But this is tupid I can't believe people are still obsessed on it.

This site is further proof that the Internet scales are quickly shifting to overall negative. You beat the guy for President of the U.S. Has anyone who lost the national election ever come back to win 4 or 8 years later? (Actually, I meant that to be rhetorical but now I am not so sure. I know people have failed to get their party's nomination and then won but has anyone actually run, lost and then won or even run again? Why am I thinking of Nixon? I am sure one of you political types would know.)

Give it a rest. I am still dumbfounded that the military debate was either a wash or a positive for Bush. Simply dumbfounded. Rove and his wolfpack are simply brilliant. Its too bad they did not come up against a stronger opponent like McCain and then we would have seen some fireworks.

So tired of presidential politics and it is only 2005.

Nixon lost against Kenndy in 60 and won in 1968.

Not many people have ever run on a major party line in two different elections.

Adalai Stevenson lost to Eisenhower twice.

That is all I can think of in modern times

the only other one i can think of was cleveland who lost to Benjamin Harrison in the electoral college, but came back 4 years later to win again. he's the reason W is the 43rd President while only 42 men have actually held the office.

Several people have run and lost multiple times: Adlai Stevenson, Henry Clay, William Jennings Bryan to name a few.

Only 5 have run and won after a lost (being a major candidate that is): John Adams lost in 1789 and 1792, won in 1796. Thomas Jefferson lost in 1796 and won in 1800, William Henry Harrison lost in 1836 and won in 1840, Grover Cleveland won in 1884, lost in 1888, and then won again in 1892, Nixon lost in 1960 and won in 1968.

"Salivating morons"? -he really said that? I commend him if he did. It's nice to see a politician be frank for once.

In forgot about adams. and Jefferson what a wonderful story they have together. Dieing on the same day 50 years after the original July 4th. With adams calling out Jefferson's name.

ooohh goose bumps just thinking about it.
