http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/7794694/SPOKANE, Wash. - Mayor James West, the subject of an FBI probe into accusations he offered municipal jobs to men he met in gay online chat rooms, is complaining he is the victim of a “brutal outing.”
*********
West, a 54-year-old Republican opponent of gay rights, has been under fire since The Spokesman-Review reported allegations last week that he molested two boys while he was a sheriff’s deputy and Boy Scout leader in the late 1970s and early 1980s. The newspaper also set up an online sting and found him visiting a gay online chat room.

He has a lot of similarities to that old hypocrite from Virginia.

Ever wonder why many times the most ardent anti-homosexuals have latent homosexual tendencies? Is it just self loathing or indicative of a society unwilling to allow people be who they are. It is an age old question...one I am afraid we will never answer in our age either.

Well in Schrock's case,he was a retired Naval Officer.
I wonder what the old Navy thinks about his situation?
to my knowledge, shrock was never accused of molesting young boys

It's the party of family values.

I prefer Barney Franks's comments on that. Something along the line of "they campaigned on family values but they didn't tell us it was Adam's family values."

You're right, Dave -- that is funny. In addition to being the smartest member of Congress, he's easily the funniest, too. [Not necessarily a lot of competition, I'll concede.] I think Congressional journalists vote him the funniest member of Congress just about every year.

Nice, they laugh at a homosexual with a speech impediment. That's just wrong.

Barney Frank is very witty, as even his political opponents will concede during those brief moments when they're not demonstrating their own sexual insecurities by referring to him as "Barney Fag."
Egads, those righties are such witty bon vivants!

They're the ones who voted him the funniest. I don't think there's anything funny about a democrat from Mass.

I don't think a person is supposed to be that grumpy before his 40th birthday. Me, I'm a "the joke justifies itself" sorta person.

oh come on....Barney Frank is hillarious!!!! He easily runs rings around any member of the house and many stand up comedians. He uses his humor to disarm political opponents and then out maneuvers them as well.
And no one laughs at him...they laugh with him.

Trust me, plenty of people laugh at him.The sort of people who are amused by "Barney Fag" witticisms. To each their own, I suppose.

And those are usually the people he is busy outsmarting.

You're the one who brought up "Barney Fag." I think jokes about male prostitution and parking tickets are much funnier.

True, that's why I said there were a lot of similarities but not totally similar.
