Check out a still from a game that will be on the new Xbox 360. It's so realistic it's scary.

And here's a little info on the new console:

Yea i heard about this awhile back and saw the "leaked photos". Curious as to what the cost would be and how many controllers it supports.....seem to be all wireless now.

I think there will be two versions, one at $400 and one at $300

Scroll to the second post. Gabe is right in that article. That special was to the MTV crowd, not to real gamers.

He seems right on. Oh well. Now that it has been "unveiled" the tech info is all on the internet. The machine sounds pretty impressive. 9.6 ghz of processing power! Up from like 700mhz or something in the original.

That's what the new XBOX is going to be called. This thing looks AMAZING! It's unbelievable. I haven't seen enough to get into specifics, but it's gonna be GREAT. I know it's not coming out for a long while, but I can still dream. But seriously, this looks amazing. I CANNOT WAIT. Anyone else plan on getting it or even know anything about it?

I'm reserving this and buying it the day it comes out, along with Madden Next Generation and maybe some other sweet games, Perfect Dark Zero should be hot, I'd love for Batman Begins to be an awesome game, Batman is the greatest.

Ah. The rivalry between Playstation and Xbox.
Personally, I'm going to make enough money this summer to buy the Xbox 2 and then next summer the same with PS3.

Problem solved.

That's how i've ended up solving this issue in the past. I decide to buy one system, but as soon as the next one comes out, I can't resist it. So now I have a bunch of systems that I rarely play. I can't even remember the last time I played GameCube. For the current generation, I'd have to go with Xbox, but that could change for the next generation consoles. I have very little loyalty when it comes to video game systems. Come on Sony... make me an offer...

I've noticed I'm that way as well. IMO, Xbox blew PS2 out of the water with it's Xbox Live, and my guess is that it will be that way again. Xbox live is greater than anything Sony can put out, unless Sony decides to do the same thing. Their online capability is nothing compared to Xbox, and that greatly hinders it IMO. PS3 will most likely sell more than Xbox 360, but I'll go out on a limb (an early one) and say Xbox 360 will be the funner console.

Online functionality is supposed to be massively upgraded for PS3. Not sure if it will be up to Xbox live spec, but it's worth keeping an eye on. It was nice that you could take PS2 online for free, where Xbox live is a pay service.

But if you play your cards right, Xbox live can be for free as well. I've yet to pay for it and I've had it for over a year. PS3 should be upgraded, but I still don't think it'll be up to Xbox Live. I think if you like Xbox Live (which that's all I use) than you'll like Xbox better than Sony. But I'll probably pick up both if they're not too expensive.

I'll probably end up picking up both even if they are too expensive, because I'm an idiot with no sense.

Yeah, well you get what you pay for. Seriously.

PS2 had a FREE on-line service, and you could see why it was 'free'. XBOX however spent a boatload of money for on-line functionability and yes they passed on some of these high costs to the consumer, but what you get is a clearly superior product.

I don't mind paying for something if I can afford it and if is of higher quality than if I get it for 'free'. It's kind of like taking the wife to a nice seafood restaurant with all of the ambiance and great food versus having her stand in a long line, out in the rain & cold, waiting for a free meal at the local homeless shelter food kitchen. :)

With XBOX Live, the bad news is that you have to pay a nominal fee for its superior service.

Oh and I've got good news:

I've just saved a truckload of money on my car insurance by switching to Geico!!!

I posted the text below in the PS3 thread by accident. I'll just repeat it here... Sorry if you read it twice.
My local video game store is already taking reservations for XBox 360. They want 50 bucks to reserve one. I'm thinking about signing up so I can get one early, since I know I'm gonna buy one anyway. It's tough to give up 50 bucks for something that I have no idea when I'm going to see, though.

I'm reserving it as soon as I come up with $50.

You could just go to xbox.com to find pics but oh well. I had a playstation 2 and loved it but decided to go get an xbox for halo2. The online gaming is sooooo much better with a friends list which goes to other games and no memory cards needed.

XBOX 360 is going to own Sony this time around.... Being a huge nerd, I've got one of these babies...

http://www.friendtech.com/

Click on the dreamx upgraded XBOX 1 systems and look at the specs.... 360 with a hard drive is going to obliterate ps3. I may be an XBOX fanboy, but its for good reason....

If you only knew what your XBOX was capable of doing, you would buy one of these and keep it for the next 15 years. The 360 will be even more modifiable, and I have a feeling that HD-DVD burners and media are going to be way cheaper than blu-ray technology like used in the ps3. Anyhoo, just my 2 cents.

What does that site have to do with the xbox 360?
